Wowm what an incredible place to visit. Such a beautiful place. When you gothrough the doors to pay you pay for grounds and gardens and then you can pay for a timed visit to walk around the house. We arrived at 11 and the house visit was at 2pm. This gave plenty of time to walk around the gardens and... More

Really enjoyed our visit to Erddig, the grounds and gardens were very nice and well looked after. Gutted we couldn't see Inside the house but this was due to it being a busy bank holiday and them operating a ticket system which was sold out before we arrived. This we were warned about prior to arrival on the national trust... More

We came upon the hall searching our National Trust book and had a lovely time. The weather was perfect, the floors were stunning and the food was wonderful! We will definitely come back!

It is not just the breathtaking house, gardens and collections that are a must ... The relationship between the family and the servants is obvious to see and feel. I have never visited an historic building and been so bowled over by the warm and happy atmosphere therein. The staff/volunteers were very attentive giving information and answering questions in all... More

as trust members Erddig was one of those places we have not visited before and now wonder why not. Fascinating history inside the house telling the tales of the servants and the owners with extensive peaceful grounds and lots of walks for people of all abilities. Very easy to find and highly recommended.

We walk our dog in the massive grounds and have a tea & cake stop in the cafe. A nice walk and good attraction if you go inside into the house. Somewhere we visit frequently. 🙂

We visited here, as we have a National Trust card and had heard from our neighbours that it was a good place to go. We put the postcode in the sat nav and as is often the case, we ended up at the wrong entrance, which was only a pedestrian one. Then we found another entrance, which we found out... More

This is a very interesting and unique NT property. It was left by the Yorke family to the National Trust. Not only was the property left but the contents too, so it is full of original pieces - especially as the Yorke threw nothing out! In addition, Erddig is unique as it tells the story of the servants that worked... More

Nice grounds, great playground for children, cafe is good and serves good coffee and snack food. There's a souvenir shop and the staff, who are volunteers, are generally very friendly and knowledgable. On hot days it's very busy indeed.
