Mountain View Ranch is a Centre of Adventure offering fresh air fuelled fun! All of our activities can be undertaken in every weather and there is a canteen with freshly prepared hot food from 12-3pm, with hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks being served all day! Bring your kiddies to experience the amazing adventure play area, or the popular Gruffalo trail, where a fun fairytale character will come and take you on a journey through the woods! We also have many other exciting and interactive areas over our 100 acre site to explore such as the Fairy Forest, Badger Wood and the Indian Village. For the older ones (7yrs +, 120cm +) we have the High Ropes Challenge, a real bargain at £13 for 2 goes - which also includes admission into the park for the participant and an adult spectator! And for the even older ones (Adults) we have the off-road Segway Experience which takes you on a two-wheeled spin around the whole Ranch for either 25 minutes (£13) or 50 minutes (£25)! Then afterwards, the cosy lounge will keep you occupied with a number of books and children's stories available for everyone's use and enjoyment. It is also a lovely place to relax after our many Woodland Walks that are all sign posted. All the staff are friendly and always ready to help and instruct you wherever necessary. Party packages for kids or adults are also available, together with corporate events and school trips. OPENING HOURS are seasonal and may change with extreme weather conditions - please check our Facebook page for daily updates on daily opening times and events.

Food is good but there are facilities, picnic area and tables outside for families to eat their own food. Besides all the attractions in the play area there is a walk that takes you past the treetops activity.

I'm no coach driver, but I would've thought the only accessible way is from the top of Caerphilly mountain (A469), turn down Fford Waunwaelod.

As I remember many of the paths were not paved and therefore could prove difficult, there are a couple of very serious hills which might prove testing.

Sorry for our late response, but no, you don't have to book in advance for the Ranch. You can just turn up on the day. However, you do have to book in advance for Segway Trails. Hope this helps.
