So, why not start your journey of Wales' beautiful capital city in the comfort of her public houses, listen to her stories, and walk her streets. A real opportunity to meet new people and have a truly authentic experience. This is a theatrical walking, talking history pub tour... Let us take you on a special and unique journey celebrating Cardiff's people, streets and stories. We invite you to discover the historical, religious and cultural life of the city, where you will be royally entertained and personally guided by our professional actor duo who will dramatically bring the city's story alive. Our rough guide tour will be bursting with fascinating facts about Cardiff. Come fill your glass with a dash of history and a twist of drama. It's the best of both worlds - a tour and a theatre show in one. Bespoke group bookings are available by arrangement for groups of 10 or more.

Such a brilliant evening. Chris and Grace were so enthusiastic and entertaining. We learned so much about our home city and had and good laugh with family at the same time. And the girls won the Quiz at the end too! What's not to love.

Cardifferent is definitely different from the typical pub tour. As their site suggests, the actor/guides provide entertainment based on Cardiff history. The acting was well done, and both actors--Chris and Grace--are talented. Most of our party seemed to enjoy the tour very much. I was the outlier who would have preferred a more typical pub tour. I had expected that we would be spending time together in pubs (as the name "pub tour" suggests),, but the majority of the acting took place on the sidewalks outside the actual pubs. We (the customers) went into two of the four pubs alone and were told how much time we had to drink (20 minutes and 30 minutes on our own); when we came outside, where the actors were waiting, there was the performance. The only entertainment that actually happened in a pub setting was the first stop, our meeting place, where we went to the (unused) basement of a hotel pub. We got our beers from the open part of the pub on the first floor and carried them down to the basement, an area currently not in use by the hotel. In the last pub, we drank together, but entertainment (acting) was, again, not in the pub but outside, at various points on the sidewalk. The quiz was in the pub, though. All pubs were well chosen, and the stories were good...but I had really hoped to learn a bit more about the actual pubs and was disappointed that the pub tour didn't really happen in pubs. My partner enjoyed it, though, so I'm giving it 4 stars.

It’s a shame that the tour wasn’t what you imagined, although our experience is very similar to the various ‘pub tours’ that operate throughout the UK.
Also our website does state very clearly what will happen/ what to expect, even where we go and I believe that’s what we deliver.
I glad that the majority of the group enjoyed our experience and as our name suggests it will be ‘Cardifferent ‘ and MAYBE unexpected.

Definitely a really engaging, fun tour. Would definitely recommend to locals and visitors alike. The 3 pubs we visited were a lot of fun and added a nice social aspect to the tour.

We really enjoyed this relaxed and entertaining tour of some historic cardiff pubs with lots of history and anecdotes about the city thrown in. The tour takes in the Duke of Wellington, Rummer Tavern and Old Market tavern with lots of interesting snippets of history about the city and the many characters who lived and worked here over the years. I definitely learned some new things. This is a new venture so best of luck to the team behind it!

There were only 3 of us on this tour but the 2 actors played as if to a full house. We thoroughly enjoyed their humour and knowledge on this enjoyable walking tour of pubs I've never ventured into before (26 years living in Cardiff!) .As always when you live in a City for long time certain elements of it's history bypass you so great to hear all the stories. Our Canadian guest was equally impressed so even though a small group we would highly recommend this tour and applaud our hosts!

What a great experience! I throughly enjoyed the historical content of this tour, made better by 2 wonderful presenter / hosts. I’m from Cardiff, but I learnt a lot that day. The only downside is that my team lost the quiz at the end, gutted! I honestly think that I would do the tour again, thanks guys! 👍🏻

This was a really fun and great tour - we were a group of four from Iceland and all little shy at the beginning but our guides Chris and Grace made this all really relaxed and fun but at the same time also interesting. So a great way to get to know the city centre and the history of the city.
The pub quiz at the end of the tour was fun and the absolute bonus was the time we spent with rest of the group (which some of were actually locals) and our guides chatting and enjoying drinks.
Totally recommended.
PS. If you need some pointers for running during your Cardiff stay, ask Chris ! :)
