Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Didn't know about this Garden in Cardiff which I would like to add is possibly one of the Best.
I loved the layout of it and if you look on Google maps it's very symmetrical.
This gardens has the beautiful and poignant Wales National War Memorial which on a sunny day just makes you think of the sacrifice of so many to enjoy what we have around us.
Would thoroughly recommend.

These well laid out small Gardens are at the centrepiece of the quite remarkably laid out
Cardiff University & Administrative 'quarter'a short walk to the North of The compact City Centre.
Capability Brown had a hand in this area.
More millionaires than anywhere else in Europe lived around here at one time.(Source:Open Top bus tour commentary)
Though very little remains to show that apart from one or two Villas.
The area is very unusal in Britain for being like a Continental Quarter a bit like Brussels.
The park contains a WW1 memorial with a male winged figure full genetalia on display
wielding a sword.Families be warned!
There are some nice flower beds and places to sit around.
Its all a bit understated and modest-no voluminous English Country Park Rhododendrons here!
The patrons of the gardens are mainly students or workers from the nearby Museum University Council Buildings etc.
The tone of the student groups is somewhat "us & them"with a palpable air of conceit
vs 'townies'that I found frankly laughable.
The behaviour can leave a lot to be desired with the general direction being down
into a nihilistic untidy drunken direction and larking around.
All in all this a is a very strange set of garden the like of which Ive not encountered
before, not scruffy not too posh and not overtly busy.
Very few families.

On a weekday this is a lovely, quiet place to visit, with neatly laid out flower beds and several memorials to look at. The most well-known part of the park is the Welsh National War Memorial, but there are other interesting things to see like the area set up by kidney wales Foundation, which is dedicated to individuals who have donated their organs.

These are nice and tranquil gardens, located behind the imposing building of the city hall.
They feature several sculptures and monuments and flowers everywhere, naturally.

Very well laid out park and very well maintained. Really enjoyed walking here on a calm cloudy day. Some nice "sculptured" plants.

Alexandra Parc in Penarth is a favourite walk of mine.
It's placed mid way between Penarth town and the sea front with some beautiful panoramic views in between.

It has benches all the way along the paths should you wish to rest or just take in the lovely flowers etc.

It has an aviary with a few resident birds.

It's a lovely place to be in.
Truly relaxing.

Take a look at the images and see for yourself.

I recommend a visit

A wonderful cushion, a surge of patriotic valor, the martyrs of Wales and United Kingdom; but a lovely niche of a garden for the students and visitors of Cardiff University

The park is located in the middle of the Cathays Park district with all kinds of beautiful public buildings around it. The park is a place of rest. You also regularly see bridal couples having photos taken in this beautiful park behind the town hall. There are several war memorials in the park. In the middle of the park is the large National War Memorial. Sit on the benches and enjoy all the beauty in and around the park.
