Beautiful castle as expected but otherwise quite underwhelming. Many of the rooms were not open to the general public (you had to pay extra for the tour to be allowed in) and there was no interactive activities at all (apart from the audio guide which...More

Really disappointing visit today we've wanted to see the castle for a while and finally got to however, as we were handing over payment the lady quickly said there was no audio guides today so they were giving 10% off. This was disappointing as we'd...More

This castle has got so much history and so many different parts of the castle to explore. I never new this castle had tunnels used as bomb shelters during the second world war. The view from the keep is good.

I particularly liked the shelters hidden in the walls for use during air raids. The apartments are also impressive.
