The art gallery is very clean and well organised. The staff are friendly and the building is beautiful even without all the art! Worth a visit if you are ever in the city.

I organise tours for a living and made arrangements with Andrew, the Keeper of Art to do a talk and bespoke tour of the Museum in May 2017. Andrew presented information about the museum in a powerpoint presentation, followed by a tour of the Impressionist collection and a visit to the Conservation Studio. All the staff involved with the tours... More

Despite coming to Cardiff regularly over the years I have never been into the museum and art gallery until now. I'm not sure why it has taken so long as it's hard to miss the building within the civic centre of the city. I was surprised in the art gallery to see works by Picasso, Monet, Lowry and many others.... More

I absolutely love a trip to the museum and this is undoubtedly one of the best world wide. Interesting exhibitions that change regularly to ensure the interest and intrege remains constant. Fun for all ages, just make the experience short for the young ones

I am not really into art, and visited this museum as a part of a tour. I was pleasantly surprised. There is a wonderful natural history display on the first floor. It explores the story of the world and was very interesting. We never made it to the artwork!

Easy to park, just go to Sophia Gardens Car Park, and meander through the park taking in the views of Cardiff Castle. If you are lucky you may hear singing of instrumental rehearsal near the Cardiff Music & Drama College. Just cross the road via the subway brings you to the Law Courts and City Hall, The Museum a minute... More

The museum holds a fine selection of exhibits especially the history of the local area. The art exhibition is particularly worth spending time in with really stunning examples of some wonderful paintings. Well worth the time and effort to browse the various sections and of course it is free entrance.

Thank Graham M
