After not visiting the museum in years it was lovely to go back and see how well it's been kept and refresh my mind on what they have there. The wonderful World of worms was really interesting and it was cool to see original Quentin Blake illustrations.

Visited the Artes Mundi 7 exhibition - what a treat! Diverse and thought provoking. We especially liked the John Akomfrah exhibit - wonderful filming.

A museum worthy of international status. Stunning fine artworks, natural history and prehistoric section , children's area, helpful and insightful staff make this a thoroughly pleasant and instructive visit. The exhibitions change regularly and each one is expertly curated. Set in Cardiff's architecturally interesting and beautiful city centre, this is absolutely a Must See place of interest.

If it wasn't for the magnificent art collection donated by the Davies sisters, this place would be pretty boring if I'm honest. Some of the exhibits haven't changed since I was a child forty years ago! Cafe in entrance OK for basic snacks and drinks. Shop quite well stocked. Staff disinterested and unapproachable.

We only had a little over and hour to quickly get through the museum. The had a wonderful dinosaur exhibit. The also had some Rossetti and Waterhouse. This is a very manageable museum. You don't feel overwhelmed. It's a must see! Staff was friendly.

What a great place to visit !! It is such a good place to take children as it is so fascinating to see the variety within the museum. If only the wooly mammals could come alive huh !@@

I enjoyed the Quentin Blake exhibition which is finishing soon and also the great 'Wriggly Worm' exhibition which has many months to run. Worth a visit just to see the worm exhibition which is not just for kids. Worms (model ones) are set into the floor. Giant models of microscopic worm heads would inspire JK Rowling for more Fantastic Beasts.... More

Visited the museum as part of a rugby weekend. So decided to site see the city... had a couple of hours to kill prior to checking in to the hotel. Some really interesting things to see and learn.

This natural history museum has a great selection of exhibits, and some very interesting animal specimen. Look out for the special exhibitions they have from time to time too.

Thank Alexander J
