Visit here every time in Cardiff, just love browsing all the stalls. Morgan the butcher is family run and has been there from the start, always order my Welsh lamb, sausages, steaks you name it and bring back with me. Stalls selling Welsh cakes, fresh bread, fruit and veg. Retro gents clothing from days gone by, sewing, books, nick - nacks, cobblers and tea shops selling all day breakfasts. A must see.

You really need to explore both the indoor market and the surrounding shopping arcades in and around St Mary Street. Full of interesting independent shops and a lot of nostalgia in the overall architecture. Great on a wet and/or cold day

In the Cardiff City Centre there is a large indoor market and it is a very grand building. There are many different things you can buy including fresh fish, clothing, candles and street food. Unfortunately when I visited not all the stalls were occupied. Real shame, I hope more local businesses will find a place there.

we stayed 2 nights in Cardiff and came every morning to get our breakfast fix here. The Bakestones and Tea Pot Cafe were the places we had our food from. The tea pot Cafe had Faggot which i really enjoyed and the lady was so friendly and honest. Loved it.

This is an old traditional market with a lot of stalls. The one business that makes a visit extra worth while is the bakery where they crank out delicious traditional Welsh cakes and scones and bread pudding for reasonable prices. This stall can be found in the middle of the market.

Good variety of stalls, selling all different things it's an everyday market ie fruit, veg, fish, meat etc only one stall selling Welsh cheese and only 2 with Welsh cakes one more popular than the other :-) . Lots of places to eat and drink at reasonable prices, comfortable to walk round. The building is Victorian 1891, do look at the website before you go so you get an idea as to how the market is set out . Ideal place to visit if its raining and you are fed up with ordinary shopping centres

New to the city, we only went into the market to get out of the rain. It turned out to me like a magical world of commerce, hidden from the modern day. On top of that it has an eating bench around the balcony where one can eat your sandwiches while taking in the marvel below. And there are toilets.

Great market Varied stalls Huge selection of goods to buy and places to eat. We had a v decent bacon bap from the little cafe in the corner(really lovely staff). Took a deli salad home for lunch which was huge and such good value

Slightly reminiscent of the Budapest indoor market with an upstairs area too. Lots of wonderful food stalls and also the usual market stalls. We tried the Welsh cakes. Very nice. The production line for the scones was amazing. They must shift tonnes! The fish stall at an entrance is a smell to behold. This is a fascinating place to spend a few minutes just wandering and taking it all in.

A lovely Victorian market somewhat like Covent Garden in London. Fun to wander around even if you are not self catering. Buy the Welsh cakes! Skip the queue at the Welsh cake stall and go to the bakery. Her Welsh cakes are made that day and no queues. Delicious. Pop upstairs had have a fabulous well priced pizza.
