Wonderful well used cathedral

Great to see so many worshippers in and out on an otherwise quiet afternoon. We would have liked to have read more about the 100 years of cathedral's existence. Great to see that our former West London school chaplain is now archbishop.

What a wonderful feeling to be back in this seat of peace and tranquillity. We were greeted on entering the cathedral by one of the assistants who explained where all the necessary facilities were and we're given a pamphlet about the cathedral. To gently walk round this ancent seat of religion and to feel its atmosphere was awe inspiring

Gorgeous Cathedral, with simple but beautiful architecture and decoration. Tranquil and serene, it is the perfect atmosphere for a quiet, reflective and devote experience. The Cathedral Choir, with younger choristers from the Cathedral School and a back row of Gentleman, all professional singers who sing the 11am Mass every Sunday, during term times are superb, really adding to the service... St David's Cathedral appears to have stood still firmly in its place whilst the city has continued to develop around - now it is neatly tucked in alongside St David's Shopping Centre. In the 1920s the Roman Catholic church of St David became a cathedral. Having suffered greatly during the second world war it was largely rebuilt and refurbished to... More

As a family of 6 spread over 3 generations places to visit can be a challenge so we were not sure that the Cathedral would interest the teenagers but the ruined Cathedral and the current Cathedral and the city itself provided a good afternoon out great ice cream from the chocolate shop on the hill and lovely weather no doubt... This was an unexpected stop and we spent the whole day here. It was stunning with many interesting artefacts to observe. The grounds were peaceful and relaxing and the village lovely.

Great place to worship for any visiting Catholic. Daily services. Two on Sunday. Confession is on Saturday mornings. The building was bombed in 1941 so its not as grand as it once was.
