About
Cefn Mably Farm Park is a huge all weather family farm attraction & softplay in one. Set in rolling countryside close between Cardiff and Newport. We offer a unique mixture of farm animals and softplay areas - the ideal place for action packed days out with the kids, birthday parties, schools and groups. The park is designed for families with toddlers to teens. The fun begins as you enter the indoor soft play barn where the children can let off steam and you can relax using the free wifi with a coffee and a slice of home made cake on a comfy leather couch. Once you and the kids are worn out from feeding the animals on the farm and playing on the electric go-carts and real diggers. Then on the way home you can visit our new Farm Shop and Butchery called "Moody Sow Farm Shop" and pick up some good old fashioned 28 day matured steak for your tea and some home cured, home smoked bacon for your breakfast!!!.

- LauragearyNeath, United Kingdom282 contributionsNice albeit a little priceyAble to book online and add extras such as crazy golf and a train ride prices were OK for a family of 4 although extras for the train, feed and crazy golf soon add up. Friendly welcome and all the staff we encountered were polite and seemed happy to be there which is always nice. The indoor soft play is big and safe, nice area for under 5 and another for under 3s. Coffee was tasty. Pizza was a decent price (although disappointed when it arrived as it was just a bog standard frozen pizza).....£4.50 for a potion of chips (when they're just frozen fries) was a massive mark up and I think this was taking the mick a bit. Lots of lovely animals to see and plenty of space to walk around. Nice outdoor play area too. Not a fan of the 'smoking area'- thats a personal opinion but I don't think a children's farm and play area should be next to a smoking area. WiFi isn't very good. It logs out after an hour or so and then won't let you access it for a short time. When working its inconsistent. I'd read there were pony ride- not available and the 'petting' zoo was just a guinea pig in a basket and a young girl who just stood there and didn't really offer any interaction. Overall a lovely day out- thankfully for us it wasn't too busy, I expect in the school holidays it may be quite chaotic (like everywhere). We would definitely return.Visited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten 1 January 2023
- Alan & Karen S58 contributionsAlan & Karen S, Jan 2023We are not big supporters of caging any animal however this farm achieves good marks for the condition & welfare of its residents. The main area was very clean & good hand-washing facilities for all ages. All of the pens appeared to be well maintained & the animals in good condition & receptive to the visitors (especially if you had food bought from the reception desk). The play areas are great to add to the young ones entertainment (irrespective of the weather) & the cafe serves good coffee (although snack choices were very limited). Staff were friendly / polite / happy to answer questions if asked. Overall this is a good place to introduce young children to the animal world.Visited January 2023Written 31 January 2023
- dave hPenarth, United Kingdom144 contributionsSo many improvements since my last visitFamily day out that excelled my expectations! Lots of play area's for all age's. Very busy which is understandable with the weather forecast and lots of undercover area's We didn't use the train due to the queueing! Great facility even in bad weather especially!!Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 April 2023
- Judy KCardiff, United Kingdom4 contributionsVery expensive for soft play experience only. Was astounded that the entrance fee for soft play area was £8.50 per person regardless of age or whether you wanted to visit the farm or not. You could purchase a family ticket for four slightly cheaper which we did ,5 of us went (3 adults and 2 children 3&6 yrs total cost £40.50. We didn’t have time for the farm so basically paid to sit and watch the children play. Had we have gone for the day and enjoyed the whole experience then I would have expected to pay that, surely there must be a way of allowing people to enjoy the soft play area without being forced to pay such a lot of money.Visited April 2023Written 12 April 2023
- Rhiannon T4 contributionsToilet lock brokenLovely park with lots to see and do. Enjoyed seeing the animals and train ride around the farm. Although a little disappointed at the fact one toilet outside by the ride on diggers (left one) had no lock on it and it's a way from the actual toilet which meant I accidently walked in on someone as she was unable to lock the door. I hope this gets fixed soon! Shame about no ice creams too on a lovely day like today!Visited May 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 31 May 2023
- Roving7859383 contributionsOk ,But... .Well laid out, animals in good condition, kids loved it. Unfortunately for what it is is in my opinion extortionate. Entry to expensive and the cost of kids food is extortionate. £6:30 for one puddling sausage and kids chips.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 8 August 2023
- SjabenaNewport, United Kingdom686 contributionsA favourite of oursA lovely, very well kept farm. One of our favourites to visit as there is so much to do. We spend hours here between the soft play and outdoors walking around. All of the animals seem very well looked after and the play areas are great. It’s really well broken up between the park area, sand and the animals.Visited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten 19 August 2023
- Liz WAbergavenny, United Kingdom4 contributionsPlease display ALL food pricesLovely clean farm park. Animals are clearly well cared for. It isn’t very big so the £8.50 entrance fee (including those over 18 months) is steep. Also beware that not all cafe food is price labelled. I paid £5.95 for one tea, a small packet of crisps and a fruit shoot! It is unfair for low income families to find our the cost at the till! I calculated the cost of the day for a family of four at approx £70 if the children and ONE adult use the golf and train ride, and only the kids eat (cup of tea for adults). Add in the digger rides etc and it is an expensive day out for a small farm park. Moral of the story? Take your own food!Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 August 2023
- RudaMalpa93 contributionsVery enjoyable if a little too expensiveSo, we're all aware that Inflation has caused prices to soar recently & so it's not surprising that everything is a little pricey. However, for the size of the Park, Variety of Animals & comparing it to other Farm Parks, my overall feeling was that this was a little bit pricey. The Park is very clean & well maintained. The staff are very helpful & friendly. We were here for a little over 3 hours & a good hour of that was spent in the soft play. There really wasn't enough to keep us there for more than that.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 August 2023

Shocking treatment of small animals (can't comment for definite on the big ones, but didn't look much better...)
Visited last weekend and they had individual rabbits (who are extremely fearful animals) in plastic boxes about twice their size (so, small...), on picnic tables for hundreds of children to 'pet'. Those rabbits were so scared they kept jumping up and trying to squeeze into the corner as much as possible. Really really upsetting sight... and 'teaching' children to scare animals because "they're so soft". I thought well maybe at least they get a nice area to roam once they're done, NO! They go back to their individual tiny cages.... what a horrendous life for them, and a sh***y lesson to teach our children.

very very bad experience for the train, it should be every half an hour, without any notice, it changed to every hour… despite the long queue, and children are starting to cry, because they have been wait so long. just some staff turn up and say sorry in a very bad attitude, seems they just didn’t care about it at all. The soft play area is good, but the train experience is horrible.

Really disappointed with our visit. Had such a wonderful experience previously but after this time around I definitely won’t be visiting again. Lovely little park and play area for the kids but the prices are extortionate. £17 for two adults for a farm which took us about 20 minutes to walk around. The food is overpriced, majority staff were rude and really unfriendly. Wanted a high chair to feed my baby in which were absolutely filthy, looked like none of them had a good wipe down in ages. You have to pay £3 an adult to go on the train which is probably around 5 minutes long or less, after paying £17 to get in I don’t understand why there’s an extra charge to go on the train. I think each admission should have a train ride for free with that price and then any extra train rides you wish to go in you should have to pay extra.
Extremely disappointing.

Thank you for today. We had our daughter Ella birthday party there. (21 children) We thought it was great value for money. The room and food was lovely for the children. Highly recommend it. Looking forward to seeing the shop open. My wife especially looking forward to the pies again with the chips that are now being served. Delicious 🤤
Soft play area fantastic but also the farm itself. Lots of positive comments. Everyone enjoyed the train ride.
