About
World of Boats is rare opportunity to get up close to a unique collection of boats from around the world and through the ages. Our workshop is open to visitors, where we are in the process of restoring a 50ton, 60ft sailing ship - a replica of the ship which brought back news of Nelson's death. Our shipwrights will be happy to answer any questions you might have, and we can offer guided tours for groups. Our exhibition hall can also be hired as a unique space for a party or activity. We have the Lookout Cafe to quench your thirst and fill your stomach when you've finished with the boats!

Not sure why I did this, possible to face the fears. But really dont do this if you hate moving water and get queasy, you'll end up being a grouch and annoying people. Although the views was nice, but wrong time of year, since it was cold.

Have been here a couple of times. Almost hidden away but on a sunny day sitting outside the view is brilliant.
Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a system that ensures orders are processed fully, so they have to be reminded you really did order and pay for something.
They’re very pleasant when you remind them but in this day and age it’s not what you expect

This is such a hidden treasure, only 5 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the main area of the bay. On a sunning afternoon, sitting out on the decking over looking the water it has such a relaxed vibe. the staff are friendly which makes it even better.

We go there nearly every sunday (weather permitting) as part of walking our dog (Poco's girl friend) from Penarth across the Cardiff Bay Barrage to the World of Boats Look Out Cafe. Tea cakes, toasties, light lunches, teas & coffees, also excellent Estrella on draught. I would recommend to anyone especially if they have a dog - you can sit inside or out, overlooking the Bay.
