World of Boats is rare opportunity to get up close to a unique collection of boats from around the world and through the ages. Our workshop is open to visitors, where we are in the process of restoring a 50ton, 60ft sailing ship - a replica of the ship which brought back news of Nelson's death. Our shipwrights will be happy to answer any questions you might have, and we can offer guided tours for groups. Our exhibition hall can also be hired as a unique space for a party or activity. We have the Lookout Cafe to quench your thirst and fill your stomach when you've finished with the boats!

A lovely cafe serving hot and cold snacks and drinks. Has a large outdoor terrace overlooking the bay, which is a real sun trap on a lovely day. Also a boat museum, however we stopped for a sandwich and the lovely view. Dog friendly outside.

This little Cafe restraunt is one of my favourite spots. It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main Bay area and is perfect place to sit and look over the water with a cold beer or Coffee. I Recommend a visit ......More

If you like boat trips, then I swear on my heart that this boardwalk location in South Cardiff (which by itself is a major tourist attraction) has more water taxis and day cruises and nautical knowledge (museums, etc) than London (Cardiff was the World's numero...More

We spent a pleasant half hour here, but that was about as long as you could stretch it out for. We're really into boats and the workshop was really interesting but I'm not sure it would hold the attention of most people.

The World of Boats is located close to the Cardiff Bay Barrage and next to the Doctor Who Experience. The collection of boats is interresting, well presented, but quite small for the money they charge. In addition to the collection itself, one can enter the...More
