Price was incredibly good value for what we got. Including supplements for having 2 hours worth of treatments each and opting to use Dermalogica products and followed by afternoon tea we paid £84 in total - that's for 2 people!! For this I had a 1 hour luxury facial and also an express manicure and pedicure whilst my friend had a 1 hour full body massage plus a manicure and pedicure. It was quite good that we had it in the room together - one therapist each. Afterwards we enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with sandwiches, side salad, half a scone with jam and cream each plus a bite size brownie and flapjack each and a mini fresh fruit mixture with a choice of tea or coffee. In terms of value it couldn't be criticised. Location is in central Cardiff.

Myself and 3 friends bought a half day and afternoon tea deal from Groupon in November and there wasn't an available weekend date until April which was disappointing but suited us as it happened to coincide with a friend's birthday. We were greeted by friendly staff who explained the procedure, asked us to fill out a health questionnaire and then separated us into twos for our treatments. Whilst walking to the treatment room, it was obvious that the building didn't have the typical vibe of a spa. The building appeared to have been an office at one point with old fashioned embossed wallpaper, cheap carpet and strip lighting throughout. Although some effort had been made to transform it, this hadn't quite been successful and the decor felt confused. Our first treatment was a half hour session on a massage bed which was a heated, vibrating bed with several self-controlled settings so we could choose our preferred option. This was really enjoyable and allowed me and my friend a chance to chat whilst receiving our massage. However, the environment of the room wasn't particularly relaxing or professional looking with no music, taffeta covering the strip lights and one candle in the corner. Next we had a mechanical leg massage and fish pedicure but we declined the fish and had an extended session on the massager. I found the calf massage to be uncomfortable but really enjoyed the foot massage so stuck to that. Despite this, the area was essentially a cordoned off area of the corridor with mismatched furniture and unfortunately we weren't offered magazines or drinks. We then moved on to our chosen treatments; I went for an express manicure and facial and my friend chose a full body massage. The only problem with this was that we were given these treatments in the same room so my friend had to endure half of her massage with the bright strip lighting on whilst I had my manicure! Whilst my friend appreciated the actual massage, she was unable to relax at all given being semi-naked under very bright lights! Unfortunately my manicure was very rushed and the polish was not given time to dry so smudged badly and had completely peeled off within a few hours. I wasn't given any consultation on my facial so whilst very enjoyable, the product applied wasn't necessarily suitable for my skin type. The four of us then met up for afternoon tea which was tasty but a little lacking in substance! Also it is worth noting that this was the first time we were offered a drink which is very unusual after receiving spa treatments. The staff at the spa were perfectly friendly and nice but the experience was a let down due to the lack of attention to detail. A spa is a decadent treat where you are meant to feel comfortable and relaxed and none of us felt this was entirely the case in this instance. With some changes to decor and heightened customer service, this could be improved.

I came for the Medi Spa Experience, the building is lovely and the staff were too.. We both had a great time, chatting and having fun together and with the staff. I would love to go back and try out a treatment in the spa area. Only thing we wish there were more leaflets about the spa treatments that you do. They only had an old leaflet from the Cheltenham Branch available.

Bought through groupon. The exterior of this building is not reflected inside. More of a shoddy office block than a relaxing spa. Treatment rooms are spread over 3 or 4 floors & we had to carry our coats, bags & shoes around the whole time. Very poor treatments including the worst pedicure in existence, painful, no massage, lumpy polish & had listen to the loud conversation going on in the corridor. The fish tanks looked clean but we were given the same towel as the previous people (& who knows how many before them) to use. The mechanical massage machines were humorous but in no way relaxing. This was topped off with the poorest afternoon tea i have ever seen including half a sandwich each, half a scone, dorrito crisps & 3 grapes. A couple of days later i also realised i had caught an infection in 2 toe nails.
