We dropped in here on a Sunday and what a great place to visit. Friendly staff all the way - particularly our guide who was very knowledgeable about the building, it's history, design and architecture, democracy and the openness of the building - .All free of course. Nice little cafe and shop too.

I didn't know you could go in so this was an unexpected pleasure. Security is similar to an airport and understandably but when we got through there was a man bounding with enthusiasm to tell us about the place. The architecture is stunning and we had a good look round seeing the chamber, the viewing galleries and then had a... More

Really enjoyed this visit though the ministers were not sitting that day. Excellent viewing gallery and very informative and helpful guides - certainly less stuffy than the House of Commons!

Before this was built, the Cardiff Council had an offer to buy City Hall for the new assembly, which is a far nicer old building with a very old but nice council chamber. But in there wisdom the council wanted more for the hall so lost out. Then we end up with the typical modern building spoiling the history of... More

Visited the home of the Welsh government when we saw free tours were available. Although I do not have a great interest in politics I found this visit was very interesting. Our guide Sam was very informative giving the history and set up of the assembly. His knowledge was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

A must-see if you visiting the bay area. It is possible to buy refreshments there. The architecture is the point of a visit here.

A must see for your visit to Cardiff. However, Summer would be a better time to visit. In early September most of the festivals were over. The facility was closed, but it is located in a wonderful part of the city. Several attractions nearby as well as interesting shops and restaurants.
