We wanted to wander around Cardiff Bay and wasn't sure if we could go in to the Assembly but were delighted we could. Warmly welcomed and such an interesting tour by Sam, who was so knowledgeable. A wonderful way to spend time learning about the...More
This is an interesting building with lots of wood and slate. Had to go through security to get in. The receptionist was really helpful and pointed us in the direction of the chamber. Upstairs is a cafe, small shop and exhibition space. Worth a visit.
We booked the tour of the Welsh national assembly over the phone and were emailed all the details immediately. We took the 11.00am tour with the charming and knowledgeable Sam. The tour can last 45-90 minutes and with all the questions, answers and comments, our...More
Amazing and impressive building inside and out. Staff very friendly. NB there is a security check but they are pleasant. Staff quick to offer assistance and brief information on the building. Enjoyed a coffee in the café. Again staff very friendly.
We were fortunate enough to have an enthusiastic and eloquent guide that made me think perhaps the place had some value rather than a unnecessary talking shop. However at 6 times cheaper than the Scottish Parliament it is a triumph and a much better design.
Our Brownie group visited here to learn about, debate, democracy, decision making and voting.
We booked a tour and our guide Gareth was excellent pitching at exactly the right level for the age group.
The building itself is amazing and very ecological.
