We went on the half day tour of St Fagans and Llandaff, and I have to say it was brilliant from start to finish. Easy to book the tour, well organised, and for our group of 5 it turned out to be excellent value. Highly recommend this tour if you want to learn more about Wales.

It’s been an amazing day out! Jim, the driver, has been very knowledgeable. So much to see, well balanced day tour.
I also discovered the company offer different tours on their website, next time I’ll be in Wales I’ll book with them again.

We were booked for this tour today - no one showed up we waited an hour in the rain for our driver. The tour operator did not respond to calls or messages. DO NOT book with them. We are awaiting a refund.

I would like to offer our most sincere apologies for the experience you had with this booking. As explained in our recent response to you, we had technical difficulties in our office and this resulted in a temporary issue with receiving emails. I can understand that this must have been frustrating and disappointing for you and your party and I am very sorry for this. We have, of course, processed a refund for your payment.
As discussed, I do hope that we might be able to welcome you on a tour in the future and we can have the opportunity to give you a more positive experience and go towards compensating for the disappointment experienced with this booking.

Great tour! Our tour guide, Jim, was very knowledgable and friendly. The tour was diverse in terms of activities and provided everything that's in the tour's name - castles, mountains, and more (a visit to a very lovely small town).

Having booked during covid restrictions we were half expecting the tour to be cancelled at the last minute due to lack of numbers. However, we were very pleased when Jim turned up to take us on our tour. We were the only 2 people on the tour & Jim was an excellent guide. He made us feel very comfortable & enthusiastically told us some great stories of Wales & the castles. We were given plenty of time at each stop to explore on our own. An extremely enjoyable day.

Due to the changing opening times of Caerphilly castle, our tour was moved to 9:30am instead of 10am but the email went into my junk folder so I didn't know.
The tour company had one of their drivers arrive at 9:30am and wait for us in case we showed up at 10am, which we did, and we ended up getting a private tour!
So considerate and very much appreciated.
Our guide was funny, friendly, knowledgeable and a safe driver!
We saw two castles and the gorgeous Brecon Beacons.
We even got to stop at the Penderyn distillery and got a free packet of Welsh cakes at the end!
Excellent customer service and a great start to our trip in Wales.

Had a great day with a wonderful guide. Try to go a bit “off-peak-season” as the travel company is small. Lots of time to ask questions and walk around all the sights you visit.
This tour takes you to some of the key spots in (in my case only South) Wales and gives you an idea of what more Wales has to offer.
Great value for money and I would warmly recommend it to anyone.

I came on the Castles, Mountains & More tour with my family and we all had a fantastic day. Our guide really knew his stuff and gave us lots of interesting information about all the places we visited. The tour was well planned and we got to see a lot in one day, including castles, the Brecon Beacons and the town of Brecon itself. Thanks to Roam Wales for giving us a day to remember!

I noticed that the cost of admissions to the castles was not included in the roam Wales tour of castle mountains and more. can anyone tell me how much general admission is for the 3 castle entry?

Of course, happy to help.
On the Castles, Mountains & More tour we drive around Cardiff Castle as opposed to entering the castle so there is no entry cost associated with this part of the tour.
When we reach Castell Coch you have the option of admission, which is paid directly to them at a cost of £6.90 each for Adults.
Caerphilly Castle operates in a similar way and the charge for admission here is £8.50 each for Adults.
Both Castell Coch & Caerphilly Castle offer Family tickets, and reduced prices for students, which dependent on the numbers in your party may be a better option.
