Don’t bother wasting your time going here.. Went in ok & got talking to a couple of regulars, who took a dislike to where we were from & had the bouncer ask us to leave. When I asked the reason for being kicked out he said I was falling asleep which is not true but wasn’t worth the fall out so we happily left. Shame as it could be a nice pub, won’t be going again. Bouncer was quite frankly embarrassing & needs to find himself a more suited job

A group of us went to the Borough last night for the first time in a while. It's was really busy and a great atmosphere. We had a lovely welcome from all the staff and the security made us feel really safe and had smiles on their faces. The music was fab, danced all night. Definitely go back and recommend it.

Horrified to be confronted with blatant racism by a lad behind the bar that I have under wear older than. Politely waiting my turn only to be told “Well you’re not next” as soon as he heard my accent.

Having visited this pub this afternoon I was appalled to witness what maybe a racist occurrence. A male person, of mixed race and who had represented his country at the homeless football games was refused to be served allegedly for being drunk. Whilst certainly being in high spirits he was definitely not drunk, he was articulate, steady on his feet and was reasonably asking why he was being refused to be served. The male bar tender was unable to explain his refusal to serve him and the female bar tender completely distanced herself from the incident stating it was nothing to do with her! I would suggest that the management look into this and undertake more staff training, although I still feel there was a racist element to the refusal. Totally unacceptable service in this City.

On a nice sunny Sunday afternoon and various activities going on for families in Cardiff City Centre a couple of I was in a group of a families having a quiet drink when the manager came out and said we're not licenced for kids drink up and move along. After finishing our drink I went to use the toilet with my grandson and was told we couldn't go in. I explained we were just going to use the toilet and was told he wasn't old enough to go in. This place would do well to try and join the 21st century

Tried to get in the bar, allowed in with white men but refused as soon as I tried to get in with any of my black friends. Bouncers said they are allowed to be selective.

Great local pub in the City, one of the lowest prices All day, even cheaper on a Sunday. One of the few Old pubs left with a History.
Karaoke on Wednesday & Sunday. The Staff are 5* & work hard to keep the Excellent selection of alcohol flowing. If your in town then pop in.

Awfull threatened by customers over seating Big doormen not interested women on her own complaining he couldnt care less disgusting behaviour i will never set foot here ever again thanku for looking after us so well NOT!!!!!!

Am visiting Cardiff late July with friends from Wolverhamton and Bristol and would like to introduce them to The Borough either on the Friday 22/7/16 or Saturday 23/7/16 as we had a wonderful time on our last visit when the music was Tamla Motown.
Are you yet able to confirm the us ice choice for the evenings in question please.
