Passing through or visiting Newport (City) go down Pill near the docks and visit the Newport Transporter Bridge visitor centre. Historic and probably loved , looks spectacular especially at night. Opposite is an interesting small hotel and Fanny's Café if you fancy refreshment.

Great to see the bridge open and working with enthusiastic and knowledgable volunteers. We had a great time and it’s a place I can return to with visitors every week. I used to cross it daily before the lower bridge was opened.
