Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came on this particular visit to find the Ivy Tower and glass houses. The area is full of plant life and wild life. Paths are easy to follow but it is quite easy to get lost in this beautiful landscape. There are a few hidden surprises within that people can look for. There is a car park available with a map of the woods so you can go and see the highlights, Overall, a very nice areas worth exploring for a few hours.

After a long day, my adult son and I decided to walk home to Waunarlwydd via the cycle path. I've not walked the path for a very long time. We were already exhausted but the walk was pleasant despite the rain between intervals. The only downside is the irresponsibility of dog owners. I was pounced on by a dog, totally unexpected and despite an apology, it could have been avoided. The lady stated to her waking buddy (another dog owner) that her dog always goes for the face. Granted he/she was friendly but I did not and do not wish to be pounced up. Keep your dogs on leads when around people. Went

This is a simply must do. A lovely walk through this delightful wooded valley, or if you prefer cycle all the way to Gowerton and beyond, if you've the legs for it. There's even an old fashioned pub, the Railway Inn along the way.

There is a cycle path from one end of the valley (used to be a railway line) to the other and plenty of off-road cycling. But do lock up your bike and wander into the woods - so much history and beauty there. There is a fishing lake near the beginning at Black Pill where up to 8 anglers can fish for mainly roach. Extremely dog friendly and so much to see - a quarry, or follow the river on the valley floor. In April-May the bluebells are spectacular. Mainly beech and oak trees and other native species. Next door is Clyne Botanic Gardens with beautiful plants all year round.
