About
Description: We are not just an independent (thinking) cinema. We have a quirky, fully licensed cafe-bar selling locally sourced produce wherever possible, homecooked wholesome food, lots of board games (especially scrabble!), an art gallery space, a 56 seater air-conditioned auditorium where all the seats are on wheels making it a very versatile space perfect for all sorts of occasions. We offer everything from kids' party packages to conference space, and host a variety of events from clothes swaps to weekly digital detox . Sit in our outside seating area and watch the world go by, or chill out in our cafe-bar with a locally roasted coffee or a Swansea distilled gin. In fact, we are the only late night cafe-fix in town! Always a warm welcome at Cinema & Co.ffee.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Terrific independent cinema and welcoming environment offering things like ping pong and scrabble nights as well as films.
Staff very helpful and friendly - there was a time when you could only book a whole pallet (due to covid) which alienated me a bit as a single person, but staff initially made sure I could book a pallet to myself.. And later changed booking to allow single bookings
I would say this is one of the best things about Swansea.. And tends to show things that you might not find elsewhere
Thanks

Lovely venue for an independent cinema. Nice vibe and friendly staff.
Being an independent, they often show films that you won't find in the big chains (old and new), but they also have great art & music events.
Great selection of beers and there's often a good pop-up kitchen for an event.
I also had my engagement party here recently and everyone had a fantastic time (and kept commenting how lovely the venue was). I was able to show a slideshow of videos and pictures I had made and also play a playlist me and my fiance created. They were very accommodating, and it made for a memorable evening.
In short, I love this place!

Really enjoyed seeing Katie Hopkins there the other night, she was very funny. Had a really nice chicken curry there. A really quirky place, with a nice chilled atmosphere. I'll definitely go again to see one of their films.

Lovely friendly atmosphere with great unpretentious staff. We need more places like this, so pay them a visit when in the area.
Far too many big chains in our high street they all look the same, businesses like this are getting scarce unfortunately.

In May the Cinema is hosting an evening with Katie Hopkins.
Known right wing commentator is hosting a night at this venue.
Katie is a known anti welsh language advocate, also has many other derogatory comments about Wales.
I will be boycotting this venue from now on as I cant honestly give my money to a business that supports this anti-welsh rhetoric

Dec 2017 • Friends
I went with a group of friends who seemed quite excited about Cinema @ Co - so I went along for the ride!
I’m sorry but I just don’t get it !!
Why oh why do people want to leave their comfortable homes and sit on wooden pallets with rugs on, in the freezing cold to watch a 1946 black and white film, while eating pizza????? And pay £15 for the privilege !!!
Never ever again!!

We purchased tickets over a month in advance for the showing of Elf. We paid £17 each for the tickets which were to include a pizza.
We traveled over an hour to this event as it looked good however on arrival, the guy scanned our tickets and said they didn't have any pizzas. To be fair he rang to order more pizzas from the local takeaway.
We went to take our seats but found there weren't any together.
The guy on the door said one of you can sit at the back and one at the front, as there isn't allocated seating.
Any normal cinema we've been to, such as Cineworld or Vue has allocated seating.
I found the website to be misleading as they promote the cosy double seat pallets.
If they'd said you wouldn't be snuggled up to your partner but some random stranger then I wouldn't have bothered booking at all. As a couple we came to watch this together, we could have watched this on Netflix in separate rooms if we wanted to do that!
We thought we would have had a pallet between us as this was a ticketed event and we'd paid £20 for this minus the cost of the pizzas.
Looking at the Cinema and Co Facebook page, I noticed that you could book a pallet for £21.50. But we weren't given that option.
The drinks were very overpriced £4.20 for 2 bottles of coke!
The guy serving us refunded the cost of the pizza but wouldn't give us our money back or even meet us half way with a partial refund.
So all in all it was very disappointing.

First time at cinema and Co. Was a bit disappointed. The pizza arrived late and then there weren’t enough so they reordered. These came much later. It was late to eat. The pizza is poor quality. The chairs are super uncomfortable. You can’t sit on them without the seating part digging in your legs. I have impaired hearing and the sound was very quiet. Was looking forward as it was our first time. Won’t rush back purely on the uncomfortable seating and sound.

My first visit to cinema and co and I watched 'slum dog millionaire' for a charity night. They said doors opened at 6pm and film started at 7.
Me and 2 friend got to the door and nobody greeted us, we were just standing there for ages and we all felt really awkward. There was woman there dealing with a couple of children and nobody else.
We went back 30mins later for henna and hair braiding (as promised on there site) and nobody was there to do it, which was very disappointing, this was not due to being full. This was because they decided not to do it. They said there will be curry served during the film, and it was in the back of the cinema which smelt really strong throughout the film.
I went back for a second visit, because my friends really want to go, despite my first visit I though every place deserves a second chance.
We booked tickets online for dirty dancing. When my friend tried to book us all tickets and the site wasn't working. So my other friend booked it instead.
we walked to the desk and showed our tickets. The lady at the desk told us to show another our online tickets (on our phone)to the other guy. We all order drinks and went to the man to show our tickets; who said they were for the night before really blunty.
I understand people can order tickets for the wrong day. But we sent the link to our other friends and it worked.
10 people where in the cinema that day, Who were told there showing was the night before like us.
There is no way that, that many people can book the tickets for the wrong day. This is due to the site being down.
There was loads of seats still available so we asked could we sit on empty seats, he said there was a queue. We asked could we sit with our other friends who's tickets did work for the right night and he said no.
Very poor service by all of the staff, we were not offered any sort of apology or to swap the tickets to another night.
