Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had less than ideal weather for walking through the city (snow/wind) BUT it was totally worth every brisk moment. Dave was our guide and he was awesome. You could tell from the start he was passionate about his city and the history of Belfast. As a tourist, this is exactly the kind of information you want at the beginning of your trip. He provided us with so much great insight on what to experience (beyond the tour) and the best places to see live music and eat great food. There were things I wouldn't have seen if I hadn't taken the time to take this tour. I definitely recommend this tour!

We have visited Belfast before but haven’t done any sort of tours, we were delighted we booked on the tour this time! Brian W was so friendly, knowledgeable and absolutely hilarious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and the places we visited. It is a great way to explore the city if you are unfamiliar or even familiar and Brian W will recommend some great places for a drink especially a Guinness 😃

We went on this tour on our first day in Belfast. It was a brilliant introduction to the city as it showed us buildings and places that we could have walked by without noticing. Brian was our host and it was a real pleasure meeting him and listening to his fascinating stories.
I can’t recommend this tour enough. It is free but please tip generously!

We met our guide Dave with his Yellow Umbrella by the City Hall and were given an interesting and informative tour of the main attractions together with a potted history of the capital city. The tour lasted a little over 2 hours and was a very useful insight especially for folk like ourselves who had not visited Northern Ireland before. He managed to cover virtually all of the main sights and also tell us some amusing stories. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our afternoon walking round Belfast city centre and our tour guide Dave was both informative and entertaining. Definitely saw so much more and learned loads more than we would have done just walking round ourselves. I would have no hesitation recommending this tour to everyone. Thanks again.

We made the english tour on the 19th of January and it was vary interesting, full of informations and facts about the city. The guide was fun and knew a lot about Belfast and the city’s history. The accent wasn’t a problem and it was easy to understand the English (Brazilian tourist speaking 😊). Everything perfect!!

The best part was the easy but professional communication by our guide Brian W. He gave us a substantial overview of the history of Belfast with knowledge, enthusiasm and an evident live of his city. I particularly appreciated the balance he brought to possibly contentious isuues and events. Many thanks Jean Cork

Brian was our host during the tour.
He is a really good person, extremely nice, and will take you for a walk around Belfast, where you will learn a lot about the city, the culture, the history with an extremely sharp sense of humor.
For us, coming from Portugal and Spain, it was immensely interesting to learn all the great history behind the city.
Definitely recommend and the best tour I've done in a while.
Thank you Brian

A free walking tour based on gratuities is a fantastic way to orient oneself to a new city and its history. Our guide, Dave was very passionate in sharing the stories of Northern Ireland and Belfast as well as recount many personal experiences in the city that he grew up in and so dearly loves.
Happy to have been a part of this walking tour. 150 minutes flew by quickly and at the end of it, he was happy to offer suggestions on local dining and shopping experiences.

What a fantastic tour… Barbara, our guide, was phenomenal with her knowledge and ability to engage the audience who ranged from young to old and from all corners of the earth! We explored parts of Belfast city centre, with great insight and detail of someone obviously passionate about her home city. Barbara effortlessly weaved her knowledge, enthusiasm and life experience to make the 2 hour tour well worth the time and steps!

Hi, would it be possible to arrange for a wheelchair for someone with a mobility issue? Thank you for your understanding.
Written 18 May 2019
We happily accept wheelchairs on our tours, All the guides are highly experienced and will consider all guests when doing the tour and may adjust the route where they see fit to do so.
I hope this helps with your planning

Hi there, will the tour cover the Titanic? Thanks!
Written 15 January 2019
No, because the Titanic area is too far from the city centre. You have to go on a bus tour to include this area. The bus tours are well worth a go, because you see and learn a lot more about Belfast in general.

This is not a problem, and children are very welcome on the tour if the infant becomes a little unsettled it would be appreciated by the group to step away for a few moments.

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
