Before embarking on this taxi ride, I had done some superficial research on the history of Ulster and Northern Ireland. But hearing the stories and testimonies of a person who lived the Troubles firsthand was an experience bordering on touching. Peter, an exceptional driver and Guide, not only guided us through a reasoned itinerary functional to the story, but made us understand how little is known about these tragic events outside Ireland. We can never be grateful enough. Highly recommended!

We were a group of 9 - two families ranging from 11 to 75 looking to visit the Antrim coast while in ireland.
We hired 2 cabs driven by Paddy and Tom and had an outstanding tour. They picked us up and dropped us off at the Airbnb we stayed in off the Lisburn road.
Paddy listened to what mattered to us and worked to make sure we saw it all.
He got us to the dark hedges when no one else was there! And to carrick-a-rede rope bridge before the crowds hit. We finished the trip with the giants causeway and a stop in portrush so the kids could go on a few rides. Wrapping everything up just as the rain started.
Wonderful stories and histories along the way made the trip full of learning.
Paddy’s connections where ever we went helped to ensure we maximized our time, including getting a group of nine in for lunch with no wait at MSQ Market square, which was outstanding (we highly recommend).
We never felt rushed, and they were both very accommodating. It was a wonderful tour.
The cabs were incredibly comfortable and seats reclined so that napping on the ride home was possible for the exhausted group.
We would absolutely recommend!

We had a great time with Peter from Paddy's. He was fantastic in his description of the murals and he gave us a very informative historical background, going back to centuries ago till the current situation. We loved it and we recommend him 100%! Thank you!

We had Sean take us on this tour, and although the cab was not a traditional black one, it was still worth every pound we paid. His commentary and information was factual and fair and we really got a feel for Belfast from the late 1960's to today. Amazing that the murals along the Falls road are constantly changing, with the exception of the Bobby Sands one. Sean has his heart in (northern) Ireland and we appreciated the tour greatly. A must for all visitors to Belfast. Book ahead as it is really easy to do.

Our guide was John Campbell, Paddy's 'younger' brother, so he says. ;)

There were two of us and we had a great time with John. He had so much information that we wished we could have had another two hours! He included some personal stories to illustrate the history that we were learning. We were shocked to see that the the city is still so divided, physically and emotionally. We felt safe with John, recognizing that we wouldn't want to walk alone in some of these places. He showed us the different perspectives through stories, murals, monuments, walls, and memorials. He was patient with our lack of historical knowledge and multiple questions. He was such a nice guy, even allowing us to bring along our luggage and drop us off close to our bus station afterward. Thank you John!

Paul was our tour guide on what was an occasionally very wet and windy Saturday in Belfast (what's new :)). The weather didn't dampen the tour though. Paul was very accommodating for us, incredibly knowledgeable, funny and personal with some of his own story. Growing up in Co. Tyrone with family from Belfast I have a fairly good handle on the history but my wife never grew up in Ireland and knows very little of the history. Paul changed that. We left the tour knowing so much more and getting a true perspective on life in 70s, 80s and 90s Belfast.

Paul answered all our questions in a balanced and personable way. The tour was only supposed to last 1 hr 30 min but due to some stoppages on our part he was happy to take his time and he gave us 3 hours worth. To be honest, we'd have been happy to stay longer. The little animated video on the history of Ireland was a great addition too.

As this was our first time in Belfast it was recommended to do a black cab tour. We were not disappointed at all. Tom our driver was amazing, very knowledgeable and we had a great laugh with him. Such an interesting tour of Belfast which we all throughly enjoyed. Would totally recommend Paddy Campbell’s tours and if you getTom you won’t be disappointed.

We picked this tour based on the good reviews and the fact it was more affordable than some other taxi tours. Our driver Trevor picked us up at the planned meeting point no bother and was friendly, informative and great company during our hour and a half (in fact slightly longer than this) tour of the Falls Road and Shankill Road areas on either side of the Peace Wall. Helped increase my understanding of the Troubles and more recent issues in Belfast far more than I'd expected. Really glad we did this tour and would recommend it to anyone visiting Belfast

Brought a group of 19 on an Overland Tour of Ireland that included an optional Black Cab Tour with Paddy Campbell. We had 3 drivers for our group and all them were passionate about explaining the 'Troubles' that northern Ireland has experienced in its history. Think our biggest surprise was to see a wall still in existence between the Protestant and Catholic neighborhoods within Belfast. Also sad to learn that each evening, a gate was closed to restrict movement between both communities. Apparently, once you get outside of the City center, inter-action between all religious factions is becoming the norm and the greatest hope for northern Ireland. Clearly worth your time to take while in Belfast.

We were picked up right on time from our hotel. Our driver (who has driven taxis in Belfast for 40 years) showed us murals on the Falls and Shankill road and the peace wall and told us loads about the history of the Troubles. We saw areas we would never have come across as tourists and got a real insight into the place. We had been uncertain whether to do the taxi tour but would highly recommend it.
