I spent time walking around the two areas, protestant and Catholic and could feel the tension, maybe because was Easter and they had marches

The continued tensions and mistrust are evident in these communities. The Mona Lisa gunman is still being painted. The murals are still be painted and updated. It seems to be a fragile peace, but an important one.

I found this a fascinating and odd experience. At times it was interesting from an artistic and history-telling point of view, but it was unsettling to be essentially poking around a community that has experienced such turmoil. It's important to see this but please always remember that there are two sides to the story and it's ill-advised to make judgements... More

A very informative place to visit nearly every wall has a mural on including the Bobby Sands Mural and is not far from the Crumlin Road Prison

For me having grown up on an Army base in Germany during the troubles , this visit was one that I would never have thought possible . It was absolutely fascinating and upsetting in equal measure. There have been so many monumental changes in the right direction but the shadow of division still looks over this lovely country. Please go... More

Titanic and City Tours, offer a really good service..... My advise is, to do a full uninterrupted tour of Belfast. Afterwards, you could hop-on and off as you please.

Was so interested in all the areas around here . At the age of 60 have lived through all the troubles although only seeing it on TV.. So hard to imagine what life was like for the local people. May peace continue in Belfast for the lovely friendly people.

A must stop for anyone on the city tours. Stop in at the Ulster Rangers supporters club for a wee drink.

Need to remember this is not a tourist attraction........ this is an actual community with beliefs and opinions it's a matter of respect regardless of your beliefs...... Interesting to visit and see the murels and memorials to those who have fallen for whatever reason.....

It is important to remember that this is a thriving community not just a tourist attraction and one must be respectful when walking around a place where people live and are going about their daily lives. However a walk around the Shankill Road offers a fascinating but sobering living museum of a tragic time of the Troubles in Belfast &... More
