    Jim Eoin Concert
I never review concerts or venues but credit were credit is due. 5 obnoxious guys sat in front of us at the Jim Eoin gig last night and from the second they sat down everyone around them knew they were going to be disruptive. Completely drunk and carrying on like they were at their local bar. Fortunately these brain dead idiots never know how to conduct themselves in public and started to swear, make sectarian comments and vape! It was the vaping that got the attendants attention and they were removed after the warm up act. I have been to other venues where this would have been allowed to continue for alot longer before having to be dealt with. A particular well done to the young lady in red glasses (sorry we didn’t get your name) she was firm and didn’t let them away with their behaviour. A credit to the Waterfront staff.

    Rapunzel show was fantastic
I took my granddaughter to see rapunzel pantomime. I have to say the show was fantastic, she had a great time. The popcorn 🍿 overpriced and soft drink. seeing adults drinking alcohol at a children's pantomime was surprising to me. The light up toys where £6.oo bit expensive as well. In all she enjoyed herself .

    Poor staffing
Staff can’t organise audience members so the show started late. At the interval the bar was poorly staffed so huge queues meant many couldn’t get a drink. They should have done pre orders to reduce the queues if they can’t keep up with demand. Due to these problems, Sarah Milligans show was reduced.

    Arrived excited...left disappointed
When the tickets first came out for Ulster Orchestra and their performance of Handel's Messiah I was first on there as the score is beautiful and Ulster Orchestra are simply amazing. However my excitement very quickly turned to disappointment with the opening bars of the show with what can only be described as really bad accosutics and sound. I tried my damndest to listen but with no soloist nor any musician wearing a microphone it was so difficult to hear. The only time any real punchy sound or music came through was when the choir and orchestra played together which was great but the majority of the show was muted and overwhelmed by poor quality sound. At the interval I wondered did I have a cold meaning my ears were maybe congested but after speaking to several people they agreed also that it wasn't great. Disappointed, out of pocket and will.think twice about going to the Waterfront Hall next time this amazing Orchestra are playing.

    Somewhat chaotic
It may seem petty to complain about a free event, however. We applied a long time ago for tickets for the BBC Stories event last night. Tickets duly received which showed block and seat numbers On arriving in Belfast yesterday evening I happened to check my phone and saw an Important Information email from the Waterfront Hall advising that too many tickets had been issued and admission might be refused in which case they would not be liable for any expenses incurred. We had booked in a nearby restaurant for dinner which given sight of that email issued late afternoon meant we were somewhat on edge and not as relaxed as we should have been. Finishing our meal we joined a very long queue waiting for the doors to open and we had no problem getting in. In fact it was obvious as the event got underway that there were scores of empty seats. The allocated seats meant nothing and it was basically a free for all despite staff attempting to fill up certain areas first. I really question how Waterfront Hall handled this. The bar service was poor, understaffed and limited selection.

We had tickets for a pantomime that was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid 19. The lady rescheduled our tickets and the ticket price for the new seats and day were £11 less than I had originally paid so she said she would process a refund. I realised after we left that she had actually taken another £11, which I did in fairness get back. The pantomime was then cancelled for all dates so I requested a refund. The refund was processed and was supposed to be in my account within 10 working days. 3 weeks later I still didn't get it so I contacted them. I was again told it had now been processed and would be in my account no later than 5 working days. I still don't have it, have reached out several times and have now received an email telling me there is an issue with my card. This is completely false, the card is the same one I initially paid with, paid an extra £11 and was refunded the £22. The card is clearly not the problem. Very poor service and very disappointing.

The Ulster Orchestra are always world class- I couldn’t fault them. It’s a shame that some people cannot refrain from loudly rustling in crisp and sweet bags throughout performances. A family sitting in the row behind me constantly munched, rustled and talked! Perhaps more emphasis should be put on patrons to be respectful and realise that these are live performances, and not only is munching & rustling highly distracting to other viewers, it is very disrespectful to performing artists.

Hi, Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate. We understand how the sounds around us in venues during performances can at times be off putting however, we do currently allow food & beverage into the auditorium for some performances. I attended the Jimmy Carr show on Sunday 7th November 2021. Waterfront Hall emails me the day before informing me of their Covid-19 Strategy. I am told to bring my Covid-19 status with me and that I must wear a mask at all times. Vaccine passports were checked on entry to the venue but masks were optional. When I complained that 99% of the audience were not wearing a mask, I was told masks aren't required in the auditorium if you are eating or drinking. Basically the whole 2,000 audience can drink for 2 hrs and not wear a mask. Jimmy Carr even pointed it out only a few in masks. Another of his lines was welcome to a covid super spreader. Just like to congratulate the Waterfront Management on their Covid-19 Strategy...not!!

Attanded Shane todd tonight, good show, comfortable venue.
Evening ruined by over zelous staff throwing people out into rain and cold, no doubt following management instructions.
Why do they have to clear the venue so quickly? Lyric etc don't do this, these people will eventually be dragged screaming and kicking into the 21st century and realise this venue is for customers not for owners/managers convenience.

A group of us arrived to the Waterfront to see the mighty Status Quo. One of our group felt unwell and Jackie a member of the floor staff saw to it that he was made comfortable and seated and safe. It ensured a enjoyable night for all. Please pass on our sincere thanks.

First time at the Waterfront (I know it’s been here for years) and it was great. Really excellent views from all the seats that I could see and certainly where I was in the stalls. Staff were great, friendly and helpful and the show was fantastic, helped I suppose because it was personal to the NHS & frontline workers. Well done a credit to Belfast.

I went to the Waterfront at the weekend to see a comedy gig with family for my cousins 40th birthday.
2 of us were asked to leave as a couple in front had reported us for laughing (?!)
I have never been to a comedy gig and got kicked out for laughing it's just embarrassing for the waterfront as we were literally there minding our own business and honestly it ruined the entire night for all 6 of us and it was in total close to £200 in tickets down the drain , I will not be returning to the Waterfront the atmosphere was stiff and it was impossible to enjoy yourself , almost as if they aim for their guests to feel uncomfortable as apposed to actually having a good time. So very disappointed and none of us will return after the way we were treated. 0/10 Review.
