We did not take an extensive tour of the Gardens but did enjoy the greenhouse where they housed the palms and other tropical plants. It was a marvel of Victorian architecture using steel ribs and curved glass, an innovation at the time of its construction....More

It was a pleasant place to relax after a long day walking in the city. The gardens are beautiful (especially the roses). It is a must see attraction in Belfast.

Absolutely beautiful. We took a stroll through the gardens just before dusk. Dark comes early in Ireland so be sure to visit the garden while there is some amount of daylight.

Great diversity of plants! My only quibble would be that very few are named and even less have the common names instead of the Latin names. Would appreciate some name tags, but otherwise an interesting and well kept garden.
