I live quite close to Cavehill Country Park and never get tired of it. When you make the steep journey up you get the most wonderful view of Belfast. Well worth the trip!!

TIts quite a climb up cave hill, not for the very unfit or unsteady on feet. During winter it can be muddy and slippery, but great for kids, dogs, joggers. A valuable resource!

We visited and hiked the trails here. If we go back to Belfast, we would come again. We did not make it to the castle, as our time was somewhat limited, but we did make it up to the top for the beautiful view and...More

Took about 2 and a half hours to do the full circuit. Steep climb to the top but worth it for the views of Belfast and the surrounding area. Path well maintained.

Went for an invigorating walk here. The views were fantastic but I will bring gloves and a bin bag the next time. Dog walkers have left black bags hanging on trees and rubbish along the walk particularly at the view point. There are no bins...More

A substantial climb to the top as the paths were very muddy and slippery but do it in your own time and enjoy the wonderful views along the way and at the top it's breathtaking. A much easier descent down the other side on larger...More

A nice walk up to the cave with fantastic views over Belfast . The long walk is too long for young kids. Our walk took about an hour . Recommend Bringing light snack/ water for journey .

While doable, I don't think it is worth the headache. It's a steep walk and not always smooth underfoot. Sturdy shoes, drinking water, and back up waterproofs if the weather changes is what you should be considering.
