Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On behalf of the group I would like to say thank you once again for the tour yesterday. It was very impressive, and that was mainly because of Paul. The combination of facts and figures, with private stories was simply WOW. We enjoyed our time in Belfast with the football, the Cathedral District and all the pubs, but this tour really made our trip!! Regards, Robbert & friends

My boyfriend and I took the Murals Tour with Paul in mid-September. Paul was fantastic - he was extremely knowledgeable about the murals, the artists and their backgrounds. And, in talking about the murals, we learned a lot about Belfast's history, present, and future. As a bonus, Paul introduced us to some great pubs where we returned in the evening. We can't recommend Belfast Walking Tours and Paul enough - fantastic!

We took the Best of Belfast tour and I highly recommend it, both for visitors and residents. Our guide Larry was informative, knowledgeable and very pleasant. In pouring rain, extra umbrella at the ready, Larry miked us up and led us from the grandeur of the Merchant Hotel through the winding streets of the city with their vivid murals, historical and current, to the impressive Dark Horse pub, where we stopped for a comforting coffee, and its incredible courtyard with an entire wall of more political murals, featuring cartoons of Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak in a boxing match, among other intriguing characters. The tour ended at the Dome from where you can see the whole of Belfast and Solomon and Goliath, the two Harland and Wolf cranes, that have come to symbolise the city. Thank you, Larry, for entertaining us. We had a great time and will be back soon.

Larry brought Belfast alive with his tour. Streets & buildings that us Belfast folk passed everyday were brought to life with Larry’s extensive knowledge and humour. Looking forward to the next tour already!

Thoroughly enjoyed Larry’s walking tour of Belfast yesterday. Such an interesting and informative tour. Larry was a wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable and witty. I have lived in Belfast for over 50 years and learned so much in the few hours. I would highly recommend this tour. Many, many thanks Larry.

We recently went on a Belfast Walking Tour and enjoyed the experience. Our Tour guide Larry provided the right balance of history, culture, street art and tips on places to go. Larry's friendly and relaxed manner made the 3 hours go by seamlessly. The pace was just right. Also being a small group of 4 mean't that were were able to see the mural in the courtyard of the Dark Horse Pub in Commercial Court which was well worthwhile. Larry even took photos of us. So in summary a big thank to Larry and we are happy to recommend Belfast Walking Tours. Colin and Helen.

Our walking tour with Larry was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland! He made the city come alive with his knowledge of the history, art and architecture. As we had planned the tour weeks in advance, Larry was kind to help us discover many things unique to our family's history in Belfast in the 1920's ~ each step was carefully researched and presented in the most personal way. His photos and descriptions of the places we visited are already a family treasure!

We arrived in Belfast and our taxi driver highly recommended the walking tour BUT specifically with Larry Murphy!!
We had not booked a tour but got very lucky 🍀 as Larry had room for us to take in a private tour the next morning!
Larry was engaging, knowledgeable, fun and funny. He filled our morning with so much informative details from art, to history, modern day Belfast and more. Clearly he’s well known as we everyone we met knew him. His vast collection of stories and his work researching Belfast was fascinating! If you are looking for an amazing, NEVER BORING, walking tour with a guide…private tour highly recommend as I ask a lot of questions and no head phones needed…lol…Larry is your guy!! We spend the afternoon following back around to the various places he talked about and ended the evening of course at the famous Duke of York!!
