Our visit to the Peace Walls was very sobering. It's very important to know your history and we were given an overview that relayed both sides of the conflict and how the walls came to be. It is definitely worth the visit.

A living reminder of the troubles and how well the city is coping today. The barbed wire on the top clearly indicates that not all things are settled yet and the murals are changed from time to time to reflect current events. It's an excellent...More

Worth seeing as a reminded to the challenges Belfast went through with the Troubles and the conflict between the Catholics and Protestants. Short drive away and you go through many pro UK neighborhoods proudly flying the union jack.

An emotional site, we drove slowly past as there was little traffic (mid week). Take time to read some of them. There is a lot of small print if you have time to get closer.

Went on an open top bus tour. We found the people of Belfast amongst the most friendly and helpful. Seeing this wall bought the memories of the troubles back to us. I found it very difficult to understand why it was still there. Very thought...More

We drove through the neighourhood to see the peace wall and the various memorials and murals. Very interesting and clearly each side had a lot to say. Sad but important to know.

Lots of political street art from all over the world. Also peace gates same purpose. Has some similarities to Israel/Palestine wall.
