Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great to hear the history behind west belfast. Tour guides had personal attachment to what happened, which makes it more interesting to hear the perspectives

We are so grateful we got to go on the Falls Road tour with Brendan earlier today. It’s hard to put into words how incredible it was - Brendan’s knowledge, personal experiences and insight into the Troubles made this a profoundly impactful experience. We all agree - it was the highlight of our trip. We can’t recommend this more -

This political tour was very interesting and the highlight of my trip to Belfast, although living in the UK I did not know the extent of two communities living so close together but at the same time very distant from each other. Gerald (Irish) and Mark (British) gave a very interesting storytelling perspective and were not shy to describe their personal experiences and views.
I highley reccomend this tour to everyone, it can be a bit sad learning the historical facts and the effect on its people.

2 points of view from both sides of a wall I didn't know existed. Hard, shocking and unbelievably interesting. My brain is still in full swing to try to understand how this situation is still present in Europe. As a historian, that's a giant critic exercise about propaganda. Exceptional !

My family and I had a very good time on this tour although it was at times somewhat hard to hear with the city sounds & large group (our tour had 13 people).
The guides heavy Irish accent (for me at least) was also hard to understand at times but I still caught the gist of their experience.
The tour is divided into two perspectives. Our guides were Rocky and Beef and both of them were quite the storytellers.
We left with a better understanding of the strife that the two sides are going through & with a new outlook on Ireland’s History.

Two guides:
1. Jake on the Republican side - hard to hear because his voice isn’t strong and his voice is competing with the traffic and wind, made poor choices to exacerbate him being hard to hear (he said they don’t use microphones bc they get lost in general. If you are self proclaimed hard to hear, move us away from the traffic as best you can and/or just get a microphone) and extremely unstructured. He assumed we had a solid foundation of the topic. Example: tell us “these walls are called peace walls. They were built for this purpose by these people and around this time.” And then go into what the sentiment is about them. But he just launched into each topic with any grounding of the audience.
2. Mike - loyalist. Excellent. If we had this caliber guide the whole time this tour would have been a 5 and we would have learned so much more.
Disappointing and frustrated that the first part of the tour wasn’t very good. Fyi - this tour is long and doesn’t go by places to you can go find a bathroom or grab refreshments so bring your own!

This tour is a must. Go on weekday when you get the full blown republican story. We walked for 2 1/2+ hours. Our guide knew everyone we passed by. The conflict is not over. The emotions are raw. There's so much to learn about the situation past, present and future. Better to walk than take a taxi.

The personal stories of the guides were very interesting, informative, eye opening and sad. I wish them all well.

Incredible experience. Probably the most difficult walking tour I've ever taken. It's not an easy experience but it seems like once in a lifetime opportunity to listen to stories from both sides. Jack and Mark shared plenty of details and information, also their personal experience. Many times I had tears in my eyes. Definitely can recommend to anyone willing to learn more about the difficult history of Belfast.

I cannot rate this tour highly enough! I came into it with a fairly solid understanding on the history of the conflict in NI, but what it gave me is a very human perspective on the lived experience of the Troubles. I felt quite privileged to have met our guide, Jack. He was able to covey a huge amount of information whilst still being incredibly engaging and charismatic. If I'd had the time, I would have done the tour on Shankill as well, recommend doing both if you've the opportunity.

When booking online, it says you can book tickets and it also asks about concession:
"Falls Road Mural Tour £10 per person, £8 concession" Do you know what concession means? I can't find anything on the website to explain it. Thanks.

Well I,m not sure but it could be a fee charged for the group.
Suggest you include a visit to the Republican museum on FallsRd, it is a one room but very interesting, no fee but a donation is appreciated. Also ask your guide to make a reservation for lunch or dinner at the Felons club, also in the FALLS Rd area, best pub meal we had in Ireland.
