Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent Private tour of Falls Road area with Peadar on Nov 19th. I’ve taken several tours of West Belfast over the years and this one was truly the best. My guide Peadar had firsthand experience like no other. As an ex prisoner during the conflict, he was able to offer insight into the history of the area, providing more intimate details than I received on other tours. We walked for 3 hours visiting key areas, starting at Divis tower, around the murals, Irish Republican museum, and Milltown cemetery, to name a few. Coiste offers other tours that I will take on my next visit to Belfast. Thank you Peadar for spending your Friday afternoon with me, and thank you Michela for helping with the booking! See you again next year.

We had the pleasure of doing this tour yesterday before flying home, our tour guide was Gérard 'chip' Fusco who was fantastic!
Gerard was an extremely friendly & knowledgeable wee guy and nothing was a bother and despite how many questions I asked he always gave insightful answers about the conflict and life in general at that time .
A great tour that gave someone like me who has read many books on the conflict a different take on it through the eyes of someone who lived it. Highley recommended and if you get chip as a guide well that's a bonus!

Went on a walk with Joe on a grim rainy Sunday morning. There were only 3 of us on the tour so plenty of opportunities to ask Joe questions. He provided an excellent historical insight into the Troubles interspersed with his own experience during that time. The tour was nearly 4 hours including a couple of stops at local watering holes. Plenty of time to visit murals and remembrance gardens. Joe has a wealth of information regarding the Troubles and if you want a guide around the Falls Road area this tour organised by Coiste is the one to choose

Enjoyed the first half of the tour with Paul who served in the IRA and was imprisoned for 7 years. I really liked his hope message for the future which includes a unified multicultural Ireland. The second half was eye opening to the lingering hate-filled feelings that are still present towards the Irish Catholic. Our guide kept asking, "What can be done," to which I wanted to reply, well starters take down the hate speech memorials, forgive the past atrocities instead of daily reminding yourselves of them and be the first to extend the olive branch of peace. It will be a long road to reconciliation but it just needs a small step to get the ball rolling.

Highly recommend this historical and relevant experience. The guides were personally involved in The Troubles and are learned on the impact on today’s culture.
Audio was a bit rough with first guide however he presented well balanced details about conflict.
The second guide (Protestant)needs to work on more details instead of repeating; he was great but clearly still very angry and bitter. It makes it hard to know if he ever wants peace and unity for generations to come.
Ireland’s history is long and confusing, this tour helps to gain a better perspective and so glad we took the 3 hours to do it.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking and standing in one spot for long periods a of time.

We did the Conflicting Stories Walking Tour. What an outstanding experience. We felt very lucky to spend time with Paul, our terrific guide on the Republican side, who gave us such personal insight. And Jake on the Nationalist side was also really eye-opening. I found myself thinking that 20 years from now, tourists won't have the benefit of hearing directly from the people involved with and impacted by The Troubles, and we were privileged to have this opportunity. I think this is a must-do tour if you are going to Belfast.

Fascinating and at times harrowing tour around the central parts of the city that were the focal point of the troubles. The tour is delivered by a republican and a loyalist each giving their own personal story and the impact it had on them and their generation and how that is still a backdrop today. If you are at all interested in the history of the country this is a must do tour.

For those interested in learning about the Troubles, the best way to do it is to listen to the people who were there. The wealth of experience and knowledge that our tour guide, Peadar, was willing to share with us was really incredible. He was so generous sharing his memories of those years, and we learned so much more than we ever could from a third-party source. Peadar was brilliant and attentive and the time we spent with him made a real impact on us. Couldn't recommend more highly.

My wife and friends had a tour with Paul a few weeks ago – he was fantastic.
He brought us back to a challanging time we remember well. With clarity and humility he shared his personal experience and his struggles which made the tour that much more interesting. We all highly recommend scheduling with Paul if you have the chance.

For people interested in politics, it is a very interesting and poignant experience. Through the two personally affected leaders on both sides of the conflict, one experiences the situation of that time first-hand. On this basis, I was able to make up my own mind. Highly recommended! Thanks to Paul for the very empathetic leadership of the group.

When booking online, it says you can book tickets and it also asks about concession:
"Falls Road Mural Tour £10 per person, £8 concession" Do you know what concession means? I can't find anything on the website to explain it. Thanks.

Well I,m not sure but it could be a fee charged for the group.
Suggest you include a visit to the Republican museum on FallsRd, it is a one room but very interesting, no fee but a donation is appreciated. Also ask your guide to make a reservation for lunch or dinner at the Felons club, also in the FALLS Rd area, best pub meal we had in Ireland.
