About
Oh Yeah Music Centre is the hub of Northern Ireland's thriving music scene located in a former bonded whiskey warehouse in the heart of Belfast's Cathedral Quarter. It houses the impressive NI Music Exhibition, Strummerville Rehearsal Rooms where aspiring bands can practice, and industry tenants including Start Together Studios and Third Bar Artist Development. Oh Yeah is also a live venue which regularly showcases the best local musical talent as well as international acts. The Centre acts as a base for many of the charity's outreach projects targeting community groups, furthering it's mission to 'Open Doors to Music'. In providing practice and performance space, office units, an exhibition, conference space and cafe the Centre aims to encourage musicians and those keen to explore the industry and to provide a welcoming place for music fans exploring the story of music from this prolific part of the world.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Attended Acoustic Picnic for the first time. Excellent event. The 6 year old had a ball! A great family event. Bring your picnic. The bar is open for drinks and snacks. Live music. And great for networking and finding out about other events. Thankyou Caoimhe, Youth Co-Ordinator for taking time to chat!

Had been looking forward to going on this tour but the overall experience was just disappointing. Don't get me wrong - there were some interesting facts - but the whole delivery could have been much, much better. I suspect our guide (Chip) was learning on the job and I will make allowance for that but his commentary was disjointed and at times inaccurate. It actually appeared at one stage that others on the bus knew more about Van Morrison's home locale than he did. It didn't help that it was also a very warm day in Belfast on our tour! I think the 15 seater coach could have benefited from air conditioning or at least opening windows in the rear. Overall it was average but just could have been so, so much better!

Very relaxed, friendly atmosphere in this terrific venue in the Cathedral Quarter area.

With lots of local music memorabilia this place is worth a visit even when there are no gigs playing.

We were local enough to have experienced the excellent Alejandro Escovedo there last night. The venue is informal and we were made feel very welcome from we arrived until a staff member asked us if we enjoyed the show as we left.

A hidden gem in Belfast well worth a visit.

Great tone had by all on the music bus tour. Guide was knowledgeable and kept the crowd amused. Interesting and informative. The centre serves coffee and snacks and a place to sit and chat.

A great hub for music and the arts, community groups and culture-makers. There are regular gigs here with a wide variety of local and touring acts. There are great facilities for musicians and small businesses including rehearsal space, office space, Start Together Recording Studio, Moosetronix Mastering and more. There is also a small exhibition about the history of music in Belfast/NI focusing on the punk/rock scene of the 70s/80s up to present day.

There are plenty of events - check out their listings online when you're heading to Belfast and make sure to stop in to catch a gig/talk/rave/etc!

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Belfast and a music fan. They have a host of different projects within the centre, including unique memorabilia, sharing a story of the history of music in the city. Staff are amazing - so friendly and very informative. Also a nice, relaxing place to grab a coffee when you’re in town.

We were here to listen to 5 local MLA’s doing a sort of Desert Island Discs ...great venue! Big enough to accommodate the audience while remaining intimate. My first visit here and it won’t be my last. Ashamed to say I was unaware this space existed. There is a small but well stocked bar manned by lovely young people. A 1/4 bottle sauv blanc £4.50 which was reasonable. Interesting displays and very clean facilities.

What a find-had an awesome New Year's eve-you couldn't stop dancing thanks to Terri Hooley's Hootenanny-lovely atmosphere and 10/10 for cleanliness which I can honestly say had the only toilets I found clean whilst pub crawling around Belfast.

Tour departed Ulster Hall and took us around the city stopping briefly at various musical interest points. The history of various local artists/ buildings was pointed out by a lively guide who made it more audience participation by having a fun music quiz
Enjoyable afternoon, would recommend.
