Fresh from tackling Slieve Donard we decided to explore Divis and Black mountain. Certainly easier going and totally different terrain. My girls loved being so close to the roaming cows, big downside was the copious amounts of cow dung!!! The views of Belfast Lough and Belfast were worth it and we were blessed with fab weather!!

These are lovely walks and the paths are good. It's amazing the feeling of being away from it all and in the mountains and yet only being a stone's throw from Belfast. Don't miss it!

A must visit while in Belfast! Spectacular views of the city and the iconic green landscape. Great hiking trails, a variety of levels of difficulty, gorgeous cattle and wild horses to admire along with the views. Also wonderful cafe with refreshments and snacks (delicious scones and muffins)! And best of all, fantastic staff who are extremely welcoming and helpful, especially to international students befuddled by public transportation.

Had 3 walks of varying lengths well signposted and fully pathed, however some steps and steps over fences to negotiate just to warn those maybe not as mobile. Much preferred this place for works than cave hill. Highly recommended

First time on Divis mountain. Really enjoyed the walk. A tarmacked path which is very manageable and rewarding views over Belfast and beyond. A steep incline near the end but most walkers will find it okay. Various other trails available for those who prefer a wilder terrain. Car parking facilities which I imagine could be busy during summer or at weekends. A coffee shop (not open during our walk, except for information). We had walked almost five miles at the end.
