We were on a black cab tour of the "troubles" when we were brought here Apparently some of the negotiations for the Good Friday Agreement too place in the monastery here.The church is beautiful , very peaceful and well worth a visit.

This monastery/cathedral is impressive inside and out. This important site is a big part of the local history and shouldn't be missed.

A Roman Catholic Church adjoining the Clonard Monastery we found it to be a peaceful and interesting stop during a guided tour of Belfast. As your in the middle of the sights for the troubles this is a quiet and quaint getaway.
