Being from an orange background, we took the chance to visit here whilst we were in Belfast. Really easy to get to, the 6a bus from Donegal Square in town centre, took about 15 mins. Staff were lovely and helpful, and admission is free!
Lots to see and read, just wish we had a little longer but anyone interested in the orange culture would love this. Cafe is good too!

A brilliant time in a fantastic museum. Staff were more than helpful. It really was insightful and an eye opener even for my partner who is a member of the order.

It was the most slanted way of telling a story I had ever seen. At least, the cafe is ok and they have a tapestry conserved since 17th century.

The party I was with thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, Sarah being a tremendous guide and putting every one at ease and taking us through the Orange history, including everyone and asking our thoughts . I will certainly be recommending this tour to my friends back in Scotland .

The museum is a little bit out of town but worth the visit, I got a local bus there the driver was obviously a Orange man as let me journey for free! he also gave me information on a parade that evening, very good cultural encounter.
The Museum offers a fantastic insight into the history of the Orange Heritage loads of great interactive displays you can even learn how to start drumming!
If your in Belfast this should be on your itinerary, it’s a pity the tourist hop on tours don’t stop here!

Live fairly nearby but never visited. Was st a loose end for the day so wandered on in to see what it was all about.

I found a nice modern building showing Interesting and balanced exhibits. There were historical artifacts, videos and commentary telling the story in Ireland from about the 17th Century onwards to the modern day. I found the staff helpful and friendly and there was easy local parking nearby, reasonably priced entry and shop full of interesting books, t-shirts, trinkets and souvenirs. Didn't use the cafe but it did smell wonderful as I passed by on the traditional route in.

Give it a go no matter which side of the community you belong to - you may be pleasantly surprised at what you may find in here and what you can learn - your perceptions will.be challenged. Certainly worth a visit if you are a tourist if the Orange Order is a mystery to you.
