A really good experience , from the exhibits to the shows as well as the park walk around the back to the Observatory . my only complaint is that it doesn't open on a Sunday which for me is the best day to bring a family

We had a great afternoon here. The theatre show was actually very good and my kids really enjoyed it. It is narrated by staff and quite interactive. We made rockets and fired them into the air using a pressure system afterwards. We enjoyed a walk around the grounds also. All in all good fun for family.

Went to see Titan the Robot preform and cannot wait until he is back He was Utterly fab and such an engaging way to get children invovled in science and robotics

Came here for our 3rd visit in 10 years - it has certainly seen some renovation, loads of things to do and see and we loved the Digital Theatre presentation although there were a lot of crying babies and toddlers brought in who made it challenging for the rest of us to listen to the commentary. Only critical aspect is... More

I'd characterise this as a "down to Earth" planetarium: the emphasis is on being informative, not on the modern glitzy gimmicks that seem to infest so many science-outreach places. I don't understand the comments about the exhibition areas being "limited": there is an enormous amount of astronomical information there, but you have to actively read it. There are large models... There is only a couple of rooms with interactive displays that take about 10 minutes. These are free. The 3D show that you have to pay for is by today's standards poor and does not use modern 3D techniques giving a poor 3d effect that is not in reality 3D. This is not worth a special visit as it will... More
