A stunning neo-Gothic masterpiece. Beautiful stained glass windows, and mosaics. Enjoy the carved reredos behind the high altar. Impressive but not overbearing.

After visiting the CofI cathedral in Armagh, we went to the most impressive RC (again, St Patrick's) cathedral. Sited on a hill like the other, not surrounded by other buildings and reached by a huge stone stairway this demands a visit. Though not so old as the Anglican one, it makes up in scale and interior finish. Great place for... More

A group of us went to one the Sunday morning service. The Mexican visitors loved it. We took lots of photos outside, bought items from the shop and of course took part in the morning mass. Afterwards we had a coffee/cake in the cafe just opposite the main gate area. A lovely morning out with visitors.

I am not in any way religious but I stopped here for a photographic opportunity. This building outside is amazing however what lies inside will take your breath away. The roof and detailed art work is just breathtaking. The Cathedral is just stunningly beautiful and if you visit just for a photography trip just allow those inside privacy until they... More

We visited this cathedral on a recent over night stay in Armagh. It is beautiful. A peaceful place to light a few candles and pray. Well worth going out to the side to visit the graves of Cardinal O'Fiadh and the 4 other cardinals buried there.

I was fortunate to grow up in Armagh and the cathedral was on my doorstep. However, having been living away for 25 years now, I still always visit the cathedral when I go home. It is a very serene and beautifylly sculpted building. Definitely not to be missed to anyone visiting Armagh

We visited the cathedral and it looked very grand and imposing from outside. Especially of interest the four cardinals graves outside to the left. Inside it was no less grand. Well worth visiting.
