I spent a good two hours plus in the museum. I started at the top floor and worked my way down through the history of the Spanish Armada and the excavation of the shipwreck found off the Irish coast. I thought that was it, I was wrong. The whole history of the city of Derry/Londonderry was well laid out and... More

Visited this museum in November and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of information available (for a very reasonable ticket price). Very helpful and friendly staff, and the museum wasn't busy at all.

Gave a good history of the City over a number of floors. The receptionist on the day was very helpful.

We enjoyed out visit to this museum. The history was presented in an honest and neutral way and was very informative to read, see and hear. Highly recommended.

Modern museum covering many aspects of Derry/Londondery history. 1916 was a focus as it was with many museums we visited. Every section was well laid out with a fascinating story to tell. Only sorry our time was running out so we missed the Armada exhibit.

Covers the whole history of Derry. Very affordable museum inside the walled section of Derry. We were surprised to find we'd lost two hours wandering around in the exhibits here. Probably because there were exhibits where you sat down to watch short films and the like. Very friendly gents at the front desk (there was a different one when we... More

Had some extra time built into my trip and chose to take the tour. Brilliant exhibit and timeline of the history of Derry from prehistoric times through the Troubles. Well worth the modest admission fee.

The museum is good value with friendly helpful staff. The Museum is well laid out and has a perfect blend of artefacts, written info and film displayed. Gives a great history of Derry/Londonderry through the years. Plus the Spanish warship discovery and history display in a separate area is also worth looking at.

We spent hours in this very informative and interesting museum. It helps put the whole amazing and at times disturbing history of this city into perspective. The ticket allows you to leave and return to the museum within the same day so we took a break and walked over the lovely peace bridge and have lunch then returned to continue... More

The Tower Museum is a modern museum and is well laid out covering the history of Derry/Londonderry with lots of interactive exhibits and a modern approach. This was particularly good in the Section on the Easter Rising which focused on some of the local people who were/might have been involved in plans to stage a simultaneous rising in Derry. A...
