I've visited twice. In general, the best murals tell a story that provides information and context that can be evocative. This is one of the most successful though it is definitely worthwhile to walk about and see them all. Bear in mind that you are...More

I've seen this mural dozens of times -- it's visible from the city walls as well as from within the Bogside itself. I always pause, calculating mentally how old Annette would be now -- 61 in 2018 -- and yet she stands there, just as...More

This is a mural depicting a truely sad event. A 14 year old girl sent by her parents to the local shop was killed in the crossfire between the two sides. This surely emphasises the futility of any war... The butterfly was coloured by the...More

These Murals can teach the travelers a lot about the history of the conflict in Northern Ireland. Every mural tells a story of an event that really happened .It is fascinating to get the information about these events.

I think these are best viewed within a Bogside guided tour, They illustrate significant people and events with a story behind the story. Really interesting and guaranteed to send you googling for a week.

The murals are a fascinating, if very sobering reminder of the troubles in Northern Ireland until very recently. They are grim evidence of just how deep feelings went on both sides of the equation. They are a must see while in Derry/Londonderry.

As stated in another review, this mural is the highlight of the Bogside murals. As can be seen by the accompanying picture, the girl in school uniform is innocent. The mural calls for the destruction of weapons. The butterfly shows the fragility of life and...More

A beautiful mural that depicts a young girl and next to her a broken rifle. The artist was true to his word and came back and destroyed the rifle since he had promised that when peace came to Derry, he would come back and destry...More
