Beautiful walk

Walking along the River Foyle in Derry is a great way to spend some time. The Peace Bridge & downtown sights are accessible, and there are lovely flowers on the railings.

I always look forward to my walks by the river Foyle. Zit is extremely popular with the local population - jogging, walking the dog, the grandkids, night stroll to see the Peace Bridge illuminated and I could go on. There is always someone around so it's quite safe and easy to strike a conversation with someone. just love it!

Great riverside view (from the Atlantic Quay, where we stayed). Direct view of boats, water events, and it is fun to see the joggers and strollers who are drawn here. Nice view of Peace Bridge. Downside: visitors might be surprised to learn that some cafes along the river close relatively early. Luckily, there are restaurants, hotels and other establishments in... More

Strolling along the riverside in the sunshine doesn't get any better. The river is a focal point in the city and can be crossed on foot using the Peace Bridge. There are various activities available to do on the water including boat rides. The marina is a short distance away along Queens Quay.

It's good take a walk on the quay. The foyle is a big river, probably not so different from other rivers but in a sunny day is good take a walk.

Stayed in the City Hotel and the view from my room was the Foyle River and what a beautiful view it was, there was boats going up and down the river I could have watched them all day, really wished I could wake up that view every morning

On a nice afternoon, the views are good. Take a walk and relax enjoying this river. You can take a cruise. It is close to downtown.

From the peace Bridge to the pace full river side walks what more could you want in a city centre. I was at a conference and the wife went out walking every day.

From our vantage point we could see the "Bridges" across the river "Foyle"..and the spires of the "Churches or Cathedrals".

We are told that the Shannon is the greatest river in Ireland. However the foyle is wider in Derry that the Lagan in Belfast, The Liffey in Dublin and the Shannon in Limerick. It runs deep and fast
