The War Memorial has two figures, one a fierce sailor and one an infantryman with a fixed bayonet. They are worth a visit. The names of the fallen are recorded on plaques. The memorial is in the centre of the city.

Centre square memorial. When you read the names of the fallen it makes you realise how some of the families were decimated by the wars. Sad and moving. Imposing memorial.

Accessed up the hill within the walled city. It's steep but worth the effort to get up and see this well kept memorial in the middle of the walled city with nice views 360'

The War Memorial in located in the Diamond (main square) and was erected in 1927. It was originally made for the city of Sheffield in England. Interesting!

A beautifully kept tribute, right in the centre of this walled city. Easy to spot when walking around, stop and take a moment to explore the detail

I was impressed by the quality and scale of this three Storey war memorial. It is located in a large square and is a must on a walking tour checklist! Semper Paratus!
