A short walk you should do to appreciate the history they are commemorating with the Bridge. Lovely walk, very safe, a nice walk to the other side and back. Good view of town too.

The bridge is a short nice walk over one of the widest rivers in Ireland. But the main significance is that we are walking on a bridge that shows different times - times of reconciliations and Derry is having good and peace time now.

Opened in 2011, the bridge is a wonderful symbol of the local efforts to end the violent confrontations between the Irish and Unionist factions. Plus, it offers great views of the River Foyle.
