Review of: Bogside history tours
We had George bring us round during our Bogside history tour. He was the most fantastic guide and representative of the area itself. Very knowledgeable & direct in his portrayal & analysis of the horrific events in 1972 but in no way disrespectful to anyone. He had plenty of time for questions & indeed everyone on our very busy tour. Clearly he is well thought off in the area as nearly everyone that passed us by said hello. Thank you George, we will definitely be back. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone. Hear from people who have personal connections to the events and lived through the worst of times in Derry’s history. Thank you.…

One of the best things we did during our 3 weeks in Ireland was go on this tour. George was our guide, and the passion he has for this part of history is unbelievable. We learned a lot, were moved and inspired. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic tour. Having been taught history at a protestant school, it was eye opening to see it from the view of the people who actually lived it. Heartbreaking but also uplifting to the times and the ongoing fight for justice. Paul is a brilliant host. I have a better understanding of the history of Derry and what happened that day. …

Peter was an excellent guide who was super kind and personable before, during and after the tour who also had a wide array of knowledge about the area and the troubles. Before we started the tour, he asked us where we were from & made a lot of conversation about our home country. He tailored a lot of the info and jokes to relate back to us and our country, which was really thoughtful. He was really funny at times, and sincere at others, doing a good job of tackling such a horrible story. Our group was very small (only four people) but not once was it awkward or quiet. Peter had so much knowledge of the area, the victims, Derry town history & the murals - it was an amazing experience. Do yourself a favour and pay the £10 - you won’t forget it.…

My wife and I done the tour with Paul in February this year. Brilliant tour, highly reccomend. Paul has so many stories to tell about that day (and other days) that I hadn't heard before. Tour lasted longer than expected as the stories and the craic with Paul was excellent and the fact that every second person stopped with him for a chat and some craic, popular and well respected man. It was a pleasure to do the tour with him. Not a tough walk at all, ended with Tea and soup at the pickled duck cafe…
