Though I grew up in England at the time of the troubles and thought I knew a bit about them the visit here added a proper perspective from the Nationalist side. Living history and extremely informative.

The information was interesting but there was not enough on display to keep you engaged. The same information was repeated over and over again and there was no interactive element to it.

I have been here a few times and it never fails to impress. It is so sad, what happened here the killing of people by the British army. Very touching place,

We were in Derry and first taken the Bogside History Walking Tour, which was excellent. It seemed only fitting that the next stop should be the Museum of Free Derry. The information and photos are in chronological order and bring such a sense of futility...More

A must visit when in Derry - interesting and informative museum located in the Bogside. It tells the story of the civil rights movement in Northern Ireland along with the Battle of the Bogside, Internment, Bloody Sunday.

This museum is small, but informative. You'll learn about the history of the troubles in Northern Ireland. You can pay in Euros, but Northern Ireland uses the pound. Parking was a bit tough to find... we went to a pay lot a few blocks away.
