About
'THE ABINGDON COLLECTION' is open by appointment only and offers a unique visitor experience in the beautiful rolling hills of Co. Tyrone. Divided into two distinct sections the first area covers classic cars, motorcycles, diecast models and enamel signs and every 'BIG BOY'S TOY' imaginable. Take a step back in time to the 1950's and remember when petrol was sold in gallons and you could still afford to buy it. The second part of the collection takes you back to the dark day's of World War Two and represents one of the largest private collections of militaria in the UK. Admission is free but contributions to Cancer Research are gratefully accepted. If you want a totally different day out with a history lesson included contact us now. Classic car and motorcycle clubs are very welcome and catering can be organised for visiting large groups. Admission is by appointment only but every effort will be made to facilitate any visiting individual or group. Fifty years of collecting in 2018.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing. A really enjoyable tour. The collection is superb, everything in excellent condition and a trip down memory lane. The curator and owner gives a great tour, the WW1 and WW2 memorabilia is especially interesting. Book in advance.

Knowledgeable host whose personal input makes the visit come to life though stories and insight to the varied exhibits. The things to see bring so many memories flooding back. The WW2 section is an education that should be given to all, least we forget. Thanks for the experience.

Great visit taking teenagers and grandparents and everyone enjoyed themselves and learnt something new. Easy to book and get to. Collecting for a super charity, well done.

What an inspiring collection of a passionate collector of all things old. The classic cars are pristine and very well looked after. There are domestic exhibits from a bygone era. The military museum was especially impressive with motorcycles, jeeps and personal memorabilia. Phillip delivered one young soldier's personal story and ultimate death at the age of 25years. This really illustrated the tragedy of war.
Highly recommended. A history lesson never to be forgotten for the Omagh u3a Travel Group.
The personal touch of Phillip's delivery and his knowledge made this visit a n enlightening experience

We found the Abingdon Collection by chance when we were preparing for our holiday in Northern Ireland. Our visit turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip!
Admission is by appointment only, so this means you get a guided tour exclusively for your group! There is no admission fee, but make sure to bring some cash for a donation to Cancer Research UK.
Our son was enthusiastic about the classic cars and the possibility to sit (and pose for photos) in some of them - he especially liked the BMW & the Manta!
I thought I know a thing or two about WWII, but this is next to nothing compared to Philips knowledge. The collection is very extensive and has some unique items. But what really makes it so special is Philip´s passion about history and it´s human side.
