Grape & Grain is a luxurious wine bar located in Aberdeen's west end. Serving an award winning collection of wines, as well as showcasing the best beer, spirits, and food Scotland has to offer. Warm and welcoming, stylish and subtle, relaxing and refined, Grape & Grain is a place to unwind, meet up with friends or catch up with clients to discuss business in an informal atmosphere away from the office; at Grape and Grain mixing business with pleasure comes naturally.

A warm welcome from lovely staff and an added bonus of live music on this occasion. The whole place oozes class and professionalism. Great to see it busy on a Thursday evening. I must also say, I don't think I have ever seen such spotless toilets anywhere! Very modern, very now kind of look. You could call this a pub, a bar, a wine bar, a restaurant...they all fit the bill. It's positioned at the more upscale end. I thought it was a great place. The ambiance is absolutely divine, the selection is beverages and “nibbles” are superb and the team are second to none. A small, boutique wine bar where you are made to feel very welcome and very spoiled. I couldn’t have been more disappointed tonight. I had booked a table at 8pm to celebrate my
Birthday with my friends. We were having a great time until at 9:40pm the waitress plonked the bill on the table for us to pay “as soon as possible”. I’m my confusion I asked if it was closing time, but I was told that there was another booking, we had to leave, and the bill was waiting for us to pay. We were rushed out of the bar (which I had hoped to spend more time in) after we had spent a substantial amount of money on food and bottles of wine. I had hoped we would be able to enjoy the rest of our evening in grape and grain but we were rushed out as though we weren’t welcome. It is important to note that the group sitting to our left and right (in the booths) were there before us and were permitted to stay after us too - the set amount of time didn’t seem to apply to them! Obviously their custom was appreciated but ours was not. For whatever reason I was made to feel that my custom was substandard to all of the other patrons in the bar that evening. To be perfectly honest it was rude and disrespectful (especially considering the next guests that had booked our booth didn’t seem to appear!). Usually I do not leave reviews, but felt it was important to leave this review as I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and will not be returning to this bar.

Lovely surroundings and a fantastic selection of drinks. Visited at the weekend with friends following dinner nearby.

Before going out for a family meal we went to the bar for a drink. First time out in a long time.
Before we went in we did the check in once we opened the door there was a table with hand gel. We were shown to our table by a member of staff.
Although it was quiet I felt so safe. Infact it was better than the shops. Every measure has been taken to make sure all the customers are made to feel welcome as-well as safe. Everything has been done to make sure everyone who enters the door is safe and everyone can even thought there are restrictions safe.

Nice venue and atmosphere and good selection of drinks, however the staff are pushy and quite rude. Was told we had to leave the table in 20 minutes and then asked if we wanted to order more drinks as ‘20 minutes while he plenty time to drink it’. No sorry I won’t be rushed to drink then ushered out so that you can get more money of out of me. Very sad as it’s a lovey place and whilst we didnt have anything to eat the platters looked lovely, although pricey.

Grape and Grain used to be a great place to pop in past. Friendly and welcoming with knowledgeable staff.
Either the staff couldn't be bothered with any additional customers when we popped in past for a couple of G&T's or they actually do only accept pre booked customers despite the two or three empty tables. Not even a particularly curteous rebuffal either.
Needless to say, we'll score that one off of the list of places to go.

So, I’ve lived in Aberdeen for 6 years and never visited this place. I had walked past it a few times and not noticed, but wow - what a hidden gem of Aberdeen.
Beautiful decor and fantastic atmosphere- I brought my partner and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, attentive and recommended drinks based on what we like with absolutely no sign of being pretentious.
If you’re on a first date, a 100th date, with a group of friends or have visitors to Aberdeen, this seems like the perfect place. It gives that vibe. I’ll be back with my partners parents when they visit at the end of the month. Thanks! Ian

What a great time tonight, lovely food and wine and the entertainment was exceptional! The version of Moon River was just fab, what a voice. And so nice to see every table booked and a good mix of people.

Everything about Grape And Grain was good. Four of us were here midweek for a post-dinner nightcap. Grape And Grain has a relaxed vibe, with jazz music playing in the background. Drinks were reasonably priced and the service was friendly. Nothing bad to say about the evening at all.

We had our first night out as a married couple and it was so special. Beautiful, intimate venue and the food was outstanding. The white wine flight was terrific and we ended uo staying until close because we had so much fun. Our Brazilian waitresses was very attentive and we loved speaking to her. Will definitely be back here
