So much history in this building and on the graveyard next to it, please donate to them if you can to help them keep this place open since its definitely a hidden gem of Aberdeen. They even sell books and home made jam to try...More

Popped in while on a short trip to Aberdeen. Lovely and quiet with very knowledgeable staff. Great history tour.

Paid a really interesting visit to st machars in old aberdeen. The staff are very helpfull,and the building is steeped in history.Its well worth the visit.

Such a pretty cathedral, a hidden gem in Aberdeen and well worth a visit. You can park at Seaton park and walk up through the gardens which is a lovely sight also.

For anyone interested in cathedrals and the like, St Machar's Cathedral is a gem of a place to visit, and all the more so now that its dark long pews (and generally acknowledged to have been the most penitentially uncomfortable in the whole of Aberdeen)...More

It was a wonderful setting for an evening concert. With a recently refurbished interior, including new pews and floor and the sun streaming though the stained glass windows, the cathedral was looking at its best. Beautiful building, well worth a visit.
