    Best day out ever!!!!!!!!
The very best day out ever!!! I've been coming to storybook glen since 1985 and so excited to be able to bring my daughter this time. She loved it just as much as us. So many happy memories there. Thank you so much 👍👍😎

    Great fun inside and out.
Well worth the money, unlimited time in the soft play during term time, all the staff are friendly and welcoming and unlike the infuriating Sugglers Cove there's always plenty of balls at the football area. The outdoor bit provides loads of space for exploration and entertainment for the adults with the hysterical recreations of well known kids characters. We have been several times and never had bad service. Will recommend.

81 miles (2 hour car drive)
First visit to Den and the Glen, first impressions were amazing. We went for my niece’s birthday it was just family and the children enjoyed it. We came all the way from Forres, Moray :) 81 miles (2 hour car drive) The statuses were clearly looked made from someone that was a professional but didn’t affect the children at all, it was kinda funny some of them but well done to whoever done them they are good. There was pigs and goats there but wasn’t aloud to touch or feed them which was a shame as they were so close and could touch them :’( The walk took us about two hours once all the children ran wild and too see every statue etc. We then had our picnic which we didn’t know we could have taken it into the walk with us haha!! But that didn’t affect us anyway, it was a lovely day so the plan was a full day anyway so going back and forth wasn’t an issue. We went to the soft play area and the staff were all lovely, asked how our visit was etc.. we had a cake and hot chocolate from the cafe it was expensive for what we had, it was £25 for a hot chocolate, two cans of coke, two fruit shoots, two square’s of school cake and two slices of the home bake brownies. I would be going back but taking my own picnic and food before going to the soft play and just having a hot or cold drink and no food while the children play.

Loved our first visit to the Glen and it definitely won’t be our last! The whole site is much bigger than we expected, so much to see and explore and plenty of play equipment dotted around too. Some of the statues are a bit quirky looking but that’s part of the charm! The grounds were well kept and there were beautiful flowers in bloom all over.
Would highly recommend

Went to the Glen & The Den today with my wife, our 9 month old son, sister and her 1 month daughter. This is not our first time here but have been on a number of occasions before...however only to the Den and never for anything more than the "crawlers" soft play area with our son.

Today however, we decided to try the food there as well as go around the "Glen". First thing to note, previously it was free for under 1's to enter the den and the glen. However, they have changed their prices a couple weeks back so babies aged between 6 months and a year now have to pay £2. Not a huge amount but for the very small amount of soft play for this age group, it should be free. There is only a 2m x 2m small corner for which is designed for "crawlers" and therefore really isn't even worth £2! Codonas at Aberdeen beach is by far better and still free for under 1's.

Next I will talk about the food. I ordered a hotdog and chips and got a large portion of chips for my partner. Upon taking one bite of the hotdog I almost vomited. Cannot describe in words how bad this thing tasted. Ended up only eating the chips as I could not bear to take another bite of what I can only describe as something which should not be suitable for human consumption. I mentioned this to the staff member who came to clear the plates but he really was not interested in anything I had to say about it.

The "crawlers" play area was filled with half a dozen kids all above the age of 5 when we arrived. I asked politely for one of the staff to shift these kids out of the crawlers area to allow the babies to use it of which she did. So thank you so much for this! However, kids well above the age of 1 (usually 4+) will try and go in it when the sub 1 year olds are in it which provides a massive hazard as the older kids climb and throw the equipment about. I have never been to the Den without having to ask at least one kid well over the age this is designed for to leave the area as they are being very dangerous.

Finally, the Glen. This was exactly what I expected. An outdated walk around the Glen which I very much enjoyed. Was great to see the creepy characters (albeit many have definitely seen better days as their paint was flaking and dirt covered them).

Well worth a visit to the Glen however really wouldn't go to the Den again (especially with the new pricing structure). Go to Codonas instead (never thought I would say that!)

The Glen could do with updated. There's so much potential and empty space, more up to date characters would be great.
The den is chaos. Staff so not oversea any play areas, both the older and younger play area had kids constantly climbing up the slides. I took my youngest to the baby area, we had to leave as it was taken over by kids 5+ climbing the walls ams standing on mirrors etc. The under 5 area was absolutely chaotic and full of older kids. I mentioned about the baby area to a staff member when I went to get a drink but they didn't seem bothered. I won't be back.

The glen needs work.

I used to love this place as a kid, but these days it's clear the focus is more on the Den these days.

There is a lot of work needs to be done on the glen to get it up to standard. Some of the statues are just terrifying and about 30 years out of date.
The grounds needs to be kept better, some of the statues are hidden due to the long tree branches and unkept streams , the loch Ness monster was barely visible.

At the yellow brick road it's so uneven it's easier to walk on Lego... The path to it was just as bad with tree roots breaking through the ground. It was extremely unsafe for young children , which is what it's aimed at. There is so much potential here , they need to look at something like heads of ayr for inspiration

The Kids love the Den and there is lots to do, however the fact that there is limited food for those with allergies is not great, especially in 2023 . I also then got a card placed over food we had taken and confronted us as of we were lying. I always buy from the cafe, there was no need for that it was a snack for a 3 year old with allergies.

Put up new figures more current for the young ones, tidy up those already there. Improve the quality of the food.
