Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Love love LOVE this place. Went with my teenage daughter for the waffles and stayed 3 HOURS for the amazing tea and shopping and conversation with Chloe, the lovely proprietor.

Chloe blends her own teas with flavors such as Highlands Toffee, to die for. The shop is curated with original, only made-in-Scotland art, crafts, Décor, and gifts. Did all my Christmas shopping. Can't wait to go back. DD plans to spend Saturday mornings studying for her Uni of Aberdeen classes there enjoying breakfast and free WiFi.

On the first floor there is a souvenir shop, then just few steps below there is small and adorably cozy tea place. I was always just passing by but this time I actually got go come inside and let me tell you - I never wanted to leave. Amazing tea, freshly made waffles, smiling and welcoming staff. Perfect hideaway spot either to sit and talk or just hide in the corner with the book.

If I had a choice I would give teasel & tweed zero stars. Booked a candle making workshop months in advance as a Mother’s Day gift. It got cancelled due to personal reasons which I completely understand and I got offered another date. This date was then cancelled also so i decided to accept the offer of a refund for the £90 rather than try and book again and take more days off work. After numerous emails and a phone call later I’m having to contact my bank as Teasel and Tweed’s response to my lack of refund is that they are “too busy” to do refunds just now and I’ll just need to wait.
Shocking service!

Have been to this nice wee shop a few times, first time was lovely with a good welcome and very chatty assistant who I think was the owner. Since that first visit all other visits have gone steadily down hill, purely as the member of staff on was so unwelcoming! Last week I rang the bell to get in and saw the lady coming up the stairs to unlock the door (by the way this is a different lady from our original visit), she half opened the door and turned, no greeting or acknowledgement, admittedly she was singing and humming so gave the impression of being happy but I'm not so sure!!!! A hello wasn't too much to ask for was it?!! I browsed a while and the lady went back downstairs, I picked up a couple of things and headed down stairs to where the lady was with a colleague and another gentleman, the other lady that was down stairs when I went down had just came off a call and was rather annoyed at how she had been treated on this phone call, so they all started chatting about this. By the way I still had not been acknowledged!!!!!! I made my way back upstairs left what I planned to buy on the desk and left!!! Customer service not high on their priorities.....or was the boss away?!!! God knows but I won't be back.

I am so sorry your experience was not as you expected and can only apologise. Its unfortunate that your arrival was at a time when an unpleasant incident had just occurred and that staff allowed you to see this. We can only hope that you remember your previous experiences and visit us again.

T & T has a wonderful selection of Scottish made items for sale from quirky cards, funky jewellery and fabulous candles to gorgeous pieces of furniture and unique artwork! If you manage to tear yourself away from shopping and head downstairs, you are greeted by a wonderful little tea room with delicious muffins and waffles and endless varieties of teas expertly blended by the owner Yvi. Definitely my favourite shop in Aberdeen!

Unsure of the need for the front door to be locked at all times, especially when the member of staff was on the till. Surely they could just have a bell like any other shop which would alert them to a customer, even when they're downstairs. Popped in to pick up some tea but was vexed by the loud family discussions that were taking place between the two females (mother & daughter) for the whole shop to hear. This is the second time I have experienced this and it's really off putting. It's a shame as the shop has some nice gifts but has really put me off going back.
