    A Place Not To Miss
This is a fabulous place to visit. The bothy where the tastings take place is really cosy - very welcome on a cold February day. The staff are great. Don't miss out on a visit to the shop; as well as the gins and rum on sale there are some lovely foodie bits and homely 'accessories'. We will definitely be back.

Like Snoop says, “Sippin’ on Gin & Juice” but Scottish-style!
An absolute must if visiting Glamis Castle! This place was fun and authentic and a little Scottish secret!!!! Kim, the owner, was there and told us all about the bothies and how the gin got started! Tastings were amazing and gift shop was adorable. Bought jam and flavored gin and gifts! Coming back with a bigger group in May! So fun! Their gin Gunshot is like grown-up fireball! Cheers!

A pleasant relaxed and informative time with some lovely gins.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had received the voucher as a gift - it’s not something I would’ve thought of. The staff were lovely and the whole thing was very pleasant, relaxed and informative. And the gin with the fruits and mixers were excellent! The savoury platter was superb. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful visit to the Gin Bothy, Glamis.
The whole Bothy experience was wonderful. Great staff made us more than welcome and took a great deal of time explaining what we would see and do during our visit. After the introduction to the history of the Bothy we had the tasting , explained by the owner via a CD presentation. This could be paused at any time to savour the beautiful flavours of the different gins brought to life with botanicals and mixers. The whole experience was very intimate and special and we topped it off by purchasing some meat and cheese platters to go with the gins. This really is a hidden gem and one you should visit.

    Great Experience
Purchased a combined gin tasting / Glamis Castle ticket as a full day out. Had heard good things about the gin tasting experience and it was definitely worth the visit! We ordered a cheese platter to share during the gin tasting - it was a generous platter with 3 different cheeses as well as bread, crackers, oatcakes, crisps, olives, onions. We tasted 4 gins, along with four different mixers and accompanying garnishes. Directions on tasting and mixing were via a well presented short presentation that could be paused between each different tasting. The staff at the tasting and in the shop were very welcoming, friendly, professional and knowledgeable about all the products. It was possible to try other gin flavours, liqueurs and rum in the shop before the inevitable purchase of our favourites. They offer such a great range in a number of different bottle sizes that there really is something for everybody from the gin connoisseur to the gin novice. We loved the whole experience and will definitely take friends or family when we are looking for a great day out.

Thanks for the five star experience.
We booked a combined ticket with Glamis Castle as we had a weeks holiday of doing "touristy things". We don't often visit what we have locally and wanted to change this for our "staycation". I am glad we did, as I can't recommend this place enough. Of the several things we booked across the North East of Scotland, this was easily one of best experiences. If your short of time and have a choice of visiting the castle or here, skip the castle. The staff were amazing and the "bothy" tasting room was decked out perfectly, making it an amazing space to relax in with friends or family for 90 minutes. Never mind the American tourists being blown away by the small touches in this room, I loved it as a semi local from Portlethen (just south of Aberdeen) who normally cant stand that tartan stuff. We had three people sample the Gins, following the well put together video instructions on how to sample, mix and garnish them. They raved about some of these and had a great time. So much so, we bought two bottles of them from their shop to recreate at home later that night. Even though I was driving, I also enjoyed this experience and had the "drivers package" of coffee or tea, fresh water and the same cl of gin as the girls in miniature bottle form to take home and try latter. We were offered this option while booking online. To be honest, I think this enjoyment was partly because we ordered two of their sharing platters. A ploughman's containing local bread, cheeses, onions, olives, crisps, chilli jam, and a sweet one which contained cakes, jam, cream and scones. These were exceptional, especially the local produce on the ploughman's one. These were presented on the table as well as the room, gins and mixers were. In my opinion this added 200% to the experience, so don't skip them and add them in at booking. As cheap as a MacDonald's and an infinitely better "lunch". My only gripe is we felt it was just too darn cheap for what we received, so I hope they continue to thrive. I am sure they know their margins, but that was worth double what we paid. It was top class, from start to finish. They have a gift shop where all the local food, gins and mixers we tasted could be purchased, with a separate and more touristy item orientated shop. We went for the booze with Grandma buying a locally woven blanket. We had a final drink outside in the garden too, making the whole stop around two hours, although if just tasting the gins, this could be done in about an hour (if your short of time). I intend returning with friend's when the opportunity arises (but not as the driver this time) and would both do this again and recommend this in a heartbeat.

    Fantastic afternoon sampling Gin
Second time we have been this year, highly recommend that you visit and take in the tasting experience. Staff are first class, Jill our host for the afternoon was exceptional. A tip for those travelling from Forfar, get the local bus out to Glamis, £3.40 return each, bargain.

Enjoyed our afternoon, platter of food was a great addition. Perhaps the measures could’ve been a little larger. But overall great!

Just been to the gin bothy for gin tasting experience and it is definitely worth the money and you can tell a lot of love has went into here. The experience is good and great to try different flavours that you wouldn’t normally try and the platter was lovely and amazingly they catered for gluten free with a great selection which made me feel great as normally gf can be forgotten and not much effort made to cater for, the courtyard and shop set out lovely too with amazing staff what made my day as the driver was getting to chose what miniatures I wanted instead of just being given what was in the tasting experience. We will definitely be back to stock up on more gin
