Wee distillery with a great story

A tiny distillery, sister of Sprtingbank and could be visited together with the latter. Great experience to compare and contrast the two. Very knowledgeable guide who made the tour well worth the while

Springbanks even wee-er brother. The recently reassurected distillery remains on its historical site and is kitted out with equipment from a bygone era. The whisky itself is a rare drop so worth grabbing a drop while you're here. Our tour was enthusiastic and informative. We didn't get to see the distillery in action during our visit (the same crew staff Springbank and only one works at a time).

Somethings gotta give!
I came back a year later to Glengyle and still enjoyed the tour we had but it was different because you are with a group of whisky enthousiasts. A tour with a group like that should be custom made because the majority in the group has a good knowledge and understanding about the production proces. Unfortunately there was no time to sample some Kilkerran and I mean other then the usual standard versions.

Very lucky to have Lyndsay as our guide at today's tour of Glengyle Distillery. I was there with my husband and elderly dad and she was fab! Such a lovely and knowledgeable girl. We've been to MANY tours over the years.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this quiet little distillery. Although it’s only 15 years old it has a lot of history due to the many previous distilleries here and the fact that they have recycled a lot of equipment from other distilleries. My guide was Linsey. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. All the staff were very welcoming and the dram was nice, too.

An interesting tour hearing about the history of Campbeltown's distilleries and its demise to only 3 left today, and it is 3 thanks to the re opening of this one on the old site.

Lea showed us round Glengyle Kilkerran Distillery. It was great to see the new distillery even though it wasn’t in production when we went round. It was good to hear the history behind the distillery and Lea was very informative about the journey it has taken. Lea also took us to the bottling hall which was interesting and she was able to answer all our questions. Thanks again and definitely do both this tour and Springbank to see the contrast in distilling methods.

The tour guide was the same person as the springbank tour, wonderful tour, informative and fun. Interesting stories about the building through the window grills, and the 2 "wash stills as well!

After Springbank, it’s nice to see this distillery evolving.
It’s also nice to see how it has been designed to be very efficient and linear rather than a winding place where things are fitted in.
Hopefully the malting barn will be finished too soon which will be another good addition

In the same area as Springbank you find another distillery, Glengyle with their brand Kilkerran. Great whisky.
