Oban makes you happy :) 🥃

Hey there,
The tour was complete, interesting and the guide was very good as well(Pia).
She is Spanish, but speaks tremendous english.
We had a nice tasting and I really enjoyed the cask tasting experience.
Where you can improve:
I think that in a couple of situations the tour could be more interactive, but in the end, I can fairly say that I had a great experience :)
Thanks Pia and Oban distillery.

Fantastic time spent at the Oban whisky distillery. James (Jim), was the perfect host and speaker, guiding us through the distilling process and making us laugh along the way. Lovely setting, an awe of knowledge, and four divine whiskies to taste. Would highly recommend a visit here

Brilliant, well worth a visit.

We went on the tasting tour and our guide was Jim. Jim was so knowledgeable and had a wee sense of humour, which made the tour fun and also made people relax (or was that the four different whiskeys we tried?!) The tour was 1 hour long and that time went so fast! Next time we will book the distillery tour well in advance, this time it had been booked up solid for days. Well worth a visit.

Jim, our host, was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We were unable to tour the distillery due to Covid 19 protocols, but we had a nice experience tasting some of the Oban whiskys.

Fantastic tour with Jim
Sep 2021
We had a great time on the Oban distillery tour. Jim, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, and it was nice to have someone provide simple, down to earth information. He wasn't stuffy or pretentious with his commentary, which was really nice, as most people in our group weren't avid whisky drinkers. The whiskys we tasted were great, and we walked away with a few bottles at a discount at the end too. Highly recommended!

Superb! Very knowledgeable staff, excellent whisky tasting and a gift of a whisky glass at the end! We spent the rest of the holiday trying out the tasting techniques on a range of whiskies!!

Could our very small dog accompany us on a tour of the distillery? She weighs only 5 kilos and could be carried, if that would be required. Thank you.

I don’t recall any pet policy but I will say they are extremely helpful and friendly. Also, the tour itself was two facilities that were mostly stills and vats Not really any exposed food products so I don’t see why it would be a health hazard. Especially if you held onto your dog in your arms. They are very friendly and helpful though so you might just give them a ring.

Buying in advance would help as it can get busy but the tours are very regular you shouldn't have a problem

We didn't book as we visited at a quiet time of the year.
You can book on the website but they are very welcoming and would imagine that unless a tour is full then you would be able to join it with no problem.
