The building is free to visit and is quite fascinating. The curator was very knowledgeable about the history of the building and the collections housed there. Well worth a visit.

This museum is free and has friendly knowledgeable staff. It's only a small place but with a large history. Each room has a theme and is crammed with interesting items. To good to miss it's located within walking distance of town and other museums.

Auld Bridge was a pleasant place to visit. It was also a great place to take photographs of the town of Dumfries from the river's edge.

This is a quirky and individual museum, in the oldest house in Dumfries. Very friendly staff, and very child-friendly

Very small museum at the side of the pedestrian bridge but the lady was very knowledgeable on the history of the building and it was quite interesting. Entry is free but they do ask for donations if you wish.
