Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The mausoleum is impressive and the surrounding cemetery offers some other interesting graves and memorials. If you like Burns or if you like cemeteries, this is a good place to visit. There is a large free public car park nearby and Burns House museum is also nearby.

The church doesn't look much from outside but when you enter it is magnificent! Not always open so worth checking ahead of visit if you want to look inside. Volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable. The stain glass windows are beautiful so much history in this church. The graveyard is extraordinary, never been to one with such grand headstones- so many of them. Interesting to walk around, they have mapped out those who were associates of Burns. There is also a memorial to the victims of cholera. Worth a visit especially if you make it to Burns House as this is over the road!

Lovely monument to Robert Burns in a setting of huge headstones around the rest of the church yard. Interesting to have a walk through and read some of them.

Really well looked after.

This churchyard is only a short walk from Burns House and is worth a visit. It is full of huge and elaborate headstones some dating back around 300 years including a communal grave of the 420 victims of the 1832 Cholera epidemic. The large and recently restored Mausoleum is the principle attraction and has an information board for visitors.

The final resting place of Robert Burn's is a must see for the sheer impressiveness of the structure. Sadly, on our visit the gates to the mausoleum were locked but still a moving visit was experienced.

A trip to Dumfries would not be complete without a visit to this excellent mausoleum to Burns - add a visit to his house and the museum and you have a real sense of the man and his times - highly recommended.

I really liked traveling here and if you are interested in history I would definitely visit here. Some of the tombs are very old and I was able to take a lot of cool pictures.

Although quite eerie this is a must see. The sheer size of the mausoleum shows how much it a respected man Robert Burns was. Lots of Roberts friend buried here also.
