Visiting the area whilst staying at the Braids Campsite in motorhome. Very touristy but good to see. Plenty of choice of gifts in shops and nice to see parking availability for motor homes. Would recommend.

Typical tourists shops. Nice, simple food reasonably priced. Only issue was that the bar staff had left the cellar door open which caused a draft and made it uncomfortable to eat. I left disappointed due to the fact I couldn't get into the museum (the only reason I wanted to visit) I had no cash, they didn't take card, their... More

Being a lover of Regency romances, We had to stop when we were driving past. Cool to say we have been. It is very much a tourist attraction, lots of shops and lots of people.

Got married here in September 2016, staff were lovely, nice place for wedding photos, steeped in history and the piper made it all the more special. Would definitely recommend for any couples wanting an intimate wedding and will be returning in the near future for a visit.

No I say to all the doubters it had had a total refurbisment since my last visit staff were lovely and shop and restaurant fairly priced. A lovely lady serving brought me more gluten free toast as she felt it was... More

Interesting place if you learn the history of runaway marriages in Scotland and England. Very nice place for photo and romantic place for couples (if you know the history of this town). Very quaint and relaxing. Photo stop as well if you arrived on less crowded day (the place was packed with tourists on my visit). There are some. Little... More

My wife and I got married here in 2012. It's just the best!! The staff are really warm and friendly and very helpful. The museum is well worth visiting. We got married in the Original Blacksmiths venue, I recommend it to any couple thinking of getting married at Gretna. There are a number of gift shops there and restaurants too.... More
